I love my Radspeed 3 Wood set to std loft and Riptide CB shaft, however, it is getting a bit 'long in the tooth' and thinking of upgrading it to Darkspeed. Next to the Radspeed are 3 hybrids, a 19* 425 with an Alta shaft and 22*/26* 410s with Tensi Blue shafts. The 22*/26* are consistently great performers, I struggle with distance on the 19*. I'll probably swap out the Alta shaft for a Tensi.

What came off is identical to the coating underneath. Also, it was under the grip tape. I'm wondering if they saw a defect when it came out of the first chrome bath and then put it through again. After completely peeling it off, which BTW took no effort, the shaft looks brand new and identical to my other shafts. Regardless, I'm staying with what I have - just disappointed in Vokey's response.

Update: I've been using Maxfli Tour since the Vice Pro in Neon Green has been out of stock for the past couple of months. I played the Air yesterday along with the Tour, and it appeared to have the same characteristics as the Tour, although it seemed slightly softer on the green putting. The coating on the Air was intact which was a positive - I've had problems in the past with the Pro and Pro Plus where the green coating had small areas that came off (not scuff marks). I think the more telling comparison will be between the Air and the Pro. More details to come, especially when the winds calm down - it was blowing 25-30 yesterday.

It definitely worked well yesterday, but I can't tell if it's a mental or functional 'thing', however, the contour definitely feels better in my hands.

Definitely not a knock-off, serial number confirmed and purchased from Golf Galaxy Yup - looks like a secondary application. The original is intact and not peeling. I talked to Vokey yesterday and the guy basically said he can't help me because I didn't buy it from them directly, but I can send pics to Vokey Wedgeworks. Their response was the same - not even a "sorry you have the issue". Both the CS rep and the sender of the email can learn something from other great golf CS companies. Since GG is a 40 min drive (one way) down 75 to Sarasota, I just decided to peel the layer off and not waste the time - especially since the only other 52*in the store might have the same problem + I'd have to buy another new grip and put it on. Guess it's back to Ping Glide wedges.

Rob, I tend to apply too much grip pressure especially on days I'm not putting well. I'm replacing a standard size pistol grip and my thought is that it may help me be more cognizant of that pressure. As an FYI, my stand grip arrangement for all of my long clubs is mid-size with 3 layers of tape wedges are 3 1/2 layers.

I have a brand new SM10 52* I was putting a new grip on (my preference is MCC+4 with 3 1/2 wraps), but when I went to take the existing grip off a 'chrome" coating came off with it. The coating continued to unravel so I just put a band of masking tape around it. This isn't my first time regripping - I typically regrip both my wife's clubs and mine twice a year and have never encountered this problem. I bought the SM 10 from a big box store so not a counterfeit ebay purchase. The shaft is their standard "Volkey Wedge Flex" My 56* is a Volkey as well and never had this issue even after multiple grip changes. Any thoughts? I do plan on contacting Volkey tomorrow.

Best intentions got sidetracked today (with a brand new SM10) when I was swapping out grips. Here's the only pic I took of the new grip. More details to come after my round tomorrow.

I wanted to create a new thread called "Golf Course WTF conversations" but thought the better of it. It's Saturday which means couple's golf. My wife and I are playing in a scramble with 2 guys who are pretty decent golfers - low teens hcp. We get to the first Par 3 and all the guys are playing from the same tee box. First guy walks up and checks his GPS watch: I've got 151, the second guy says, I've got 140. I walk up with my LRF shoot the pin for 159 yds. They both turn to me and say are you sure that's right. Ok I'll shoot it one more time 159. Note that same conversation occurred on almost every hole the rest of the day. What don't you understand about technology .

I signed up for GP early release of this new grip and it just arrived late this afternoon. I've been thinking of upgrading the pistol grip on my Zebra putter since it's starting to show some wear so why not experiment with something new. I'm putting grips on tomorrow in prep for our Monday Men's 18, and I'll have more pics, but I thought in the meantime you might be interested in seeing it. I have it next to a SS 1.0 Traxon to give you a comparison to the Reverse Taper (large size pistol grip). Yes, that SS grip is a bit sad looking but it's on my old Odyssey which is retired. The Large size is approximately the same diameter as the 1.0 and the same length but is a bit more contoured and a bit softer feel. More pics to come after the install.

Received 2 doz yesterday combined with a bigger order of my gamer - Vice Pro, and will give the Air a go in today's game. Unrelated to ball performance, Vice appears to have changed their distribution strategy for the better. I used to wait a couple of weeks for an order, and when checking on order status, I would see it hung up in Europe. I received this order in 3 days using their standard shipping.

Been a Shotscope user since 2021 and an informal brand ambassador for their products. Prior to 2021 I used ARRCOS, however, between the post round edits, the annual subscription cost and the customer service I abandoned ARRCOS. The V3, in my book was bulletproof - virtually no edits, one time cost, and superior customer service made the transition a no brainer. Yes the X5 had programming issues, and some of us considered ourselves a beta group, but today it is a robust tracking device, and their customer service continues to get high marks from me. Get the V5 is all you want is course info, on the other hand if you're committed to improvement, spend the extra dollars for the X5.

Actually 3 clubs in my bag; Stealth2 driver, Radspeed 3 wood and my Ping 3.0 Glide Eye 2 LW.

It's been a few weeks since I posted in this thread, but I have been somewhat diligent in my workout program. A family medical issue got in the way along with finalizing a bathroom remodel, but I still got in 10 days in March. Things have lightened up in April and I've gotten in 8 days out of 16! My expectation is to rachet that up to 20 days this month.

Has anyone tried these new Vice balls? I was tempted to try a doz with my recent Vice Pro order.
