Just curious...did they use the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer on you to get a baseline?

I still have a few of the first polos Under Armour ever came out with, back in 2006 ish, and the sleeves are ridiculously long...and the shirt-tail is about 2" longer than the front.

No shoes either! Surprised he's not holding a beer in one hand and just using the other to swing the club.

I feel your pain! I played the best golf of my life for a stretch last year...shot my lowest round of 80 in August, and then shot a 108 in Oct, 100 in Nov, 102 in Jan, and 101 in Feb. Thankfully things seem to be on a better trend my last 2 rounds (85&84). It's frustrating to try to figure out what went wrong in those high scoring rounds, but I guess it happens.

I mainly just stick to YouTube videos...Eric Cogorno, Mike Malaska, and Clay Ballard. Jake Hutt has a lot of short videos that have really helped me, especially with the 3W.

Looks like we got the same set-up, minus the shaft difference. Have you actually gotten your yet? I'm still waiting on my 4 & 5 irons to show up...Srixon told me mid-June...I ordered on 3/20/21.

Just a thought, but you can actually ask for an extra battery before yours craps out mid-round...that way you'll have a backup battery in your golf bag at all times.

Not yet...I just watch the free videos on YT...and he does a pretty good job about responding to comments left for him on the YT videos.

@Golfspy_CG2 Glad you're on the road to recovery. Will you be interchanging the shafts in the 2 Titleist drivers, since they have the same adapter on them? I'm also interested to see how the Srixon ZX5 does for you.

I have a 14 yr old and 9 yr old, and both of them played PGA Jr League in 2019 at 12 & 7 respectively. There was no league last year due to COVID, and they haven't really showed excitement for wanting to play again this year, so I'm not pushing it...even though I would love for them to play. My 14 yr old can hit the ball really well, but he doesn't like the game at all. My 9 yr old loves the game, but mostly just wants to be with me when I go and play a round. Like @jlukes, I'd love to just spend time on the course with the two of them, and I'm sure that'll happen in time. Funny story; when they were playing in Jr League I would usually walk with my youngest, but after 2 holes, during the 3rd match, he turns to me and says, "I got this dad, go be with my brother." I was a little taken back at first, but then very proud that he felt like he didn't need caddie dad there anymore. The best part was when he made a long putt for birdie for his team...he still mentions it to this day when we play that hole.

Good points, thanks for the info. I can see ZX4 being in the SGI, good point...it's unfortunate that someone would spend so much time arguing about what category an iron should be in. I personally, was just curious, and I consider you the go to on stuff like this, so thank you for the information. Thanks for sharing this video and you're right, do we really need another category? And you and I can attest to the fact that Srixon isn't scaring anyone away from purchasing their irons...the simple fact that I've been waiting 2+ months for mine to show up is proof of that...but I get what you mean.

@cnosil & @Golfspy_CG2 I would've thought that the ZX5 would be in Players Distance, and ZX4 in this Game Improvement category, especially since the 2 of you have confirmed ZX7 in the Players Iron category. I'm sure there's something I'm missing though.

Do you have a video of your putting set-up/stance? I seem to think that a mirror would help me to make sure I'm always aligned correctly...as in where my eyes are in relation to the ball...typically inside and behind the ball, I just don't know if I'm consistent in the distance inside and behind.

Yes, I've seen and heard that before, at other courses (I actually have the not so pleasurable experience with that type of scenario, scoring a 9 on a hole because I kept fading my ball back over to the other 9-holes), but for whatever reason, there were no white stakes in this latest scenario (different course). I'll have to check the local/course rules on the score card. Thanks for the info.

I was playing in a tournament this past weekend and one of the guys in my group sliced his drive close to a green for a different set of 9-holes than was part of our 18-holes, and someone picked it up. We talked to the guys and they threw the ball back to the guy how had hit the shot, and I told him to drop it in the area where they said they found it...was that the right call, or could he drop it anywhere he wanted??? with exception, of course.

There's no real way to prove your statement, especially since it took Phil so long to win a Major and he is currently in a lot better physical shape than he was back then.

I've been dealing with golfers elbow for a while, and I've done 2 things to help me (I say me, because it may not work for everyone). 1. I wear compression sleeves that I found on Amazon made by Tough Outfitters...they may not be the best out there, but they do the trick for me, and honestly I only figured out that they helped because it got cooler on the course and one of my playing partners had some in his bag he was willing to let me use. 2. I noticed that I had more pain (mine is in my right elbow) whenever I used my right arm more than my left to bring the club from setup to the top of my back swing...once I stopped doing that a lot of the pain subsided. NOTE: Using my right arm as more dominate in the downswing has not caused any elbow aggravation. Hope that helps

Taking a look at going with a different shaft might also help you out in getting it in the air. Just a thought.
