  1. Selling my SkyTrak. Includes metal case, user manuals, level and USB cable. Game Improvement Package thru August 2020. It's 100% functional and has no damage of any kind. Metro Detroit area local pickup only. Folks are price gouging right now, asking more than new. $1,600.
  2. I like the style. I have found that "pub caps" (which are different than newspaper boy and standard flat caps) look the best on my noggin. Wigens is my go to brand. Wife doesn't like them though.
  3. I got one of these. I put a Ping patch on it to give it a little more cred. And I cut off the dork cord. I like it a lot. I have a full head of hair, so my only wish is that it had even more venting. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  4. That’s a solid deal me thinks Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  5. Hmm. What leather grip is it (i.e. who makes it)? Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy
  6. Make sure the check Golf Galaxy every day. They have one pop up for a few minutes and then it is gone. Don't know if they have alerts.
  7. NOTHING out there. Folks are price gouging.
  8. I like the Green with Black piping followed by the Green with White piping. The bottom rightmost and leftmost pics.
  9. I did an initial round of testing on my SkyTrak today. I plan to do this over a period of days as I am trying to eliminate the benefit of hitting one club before another. Initial day's results below. I don't know what good fitting numbers SHOULD look like on a 5 hybrid (e.g. spin or launch). If you have insight into how bad these are, I'd appreciate it.
  10. Completely agree. I purchased this one several years back. I was balking at spending $100 for a long time. After I got it I wished that I had done it years earlier. The one below is a newer model than I have, but same seller. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GOLF-CLUB-SHAFT-PULLER-EXTRACTOR-FOR-STEEL-GRAPHITE-SHAFTS/164138371857?hash=item263768cb11:g:11wAAOSwZdZdQ6~m
  11. After looking around my local Craigslist for a long time, I purchased this new saw from Amazon for $75. I've been very happy with it. It's only for personal use, though. I cut about 20 clubs a year max. Lion Tools J1G-KE2-160 Toolman Cut-off Saw/Machine 6" 6.5A 7/8" Arbor 45 degree adjustable fence works with DeWalt Makita Ryobi Bosch Skill Accessorie
  12. CPO is great. I don't have data to back it up, but it seems that Ping and Titleist hold their value better than Callaway. IF that is true, does the CPO program play a role? I'm curious on others opinion on this.
  13. There's definitely merit to your approach. Buying from CPO gets you great value.
  14. I'm not sure it's a good thing. Personally, I hesitate buying Callaway clubs new or used because I switch clubs often. Callaway clubs do not hold their value well. When you are selling them you are competing with Callawaypreowned. Who would you rather buy from? Joe Schmoe or CPO?
  15. I've outfitted two exact clubs, one with the standard and one with the GOST. Same exact length. Same exact swing weight. I plan to give it a go using Skytrak this coming Thurs and Friday.
  16. In my experience, you can tell if you have hit a hook or slice or have generally poor contact. The risk is more of getting away with fat shots.
  17. I used a compressor. One wrap of painters tape. Then some V&P Naptha (pour a little into the grip with a funnel and then onto a towel, then wipe the grip) to provide some lubricant. Then air compressor. Real easy. Don't use double sided golf grip tape or it will be a PITA to take them off even with a compressor.
  18. I wouldn't dissuade you from Best Grips. They are a bit softer than the Gripmasters. I'd happily play either. If you contact them, you can get "blemishes" for about $12 a grip or so.
  19. I currently have a set of Gripmaster Signatures on one set of irons and the Gripmaster Kidd's on another. They are fantastic grips. Firm and tacky. REAL tacky, such that it puts some people off. I choose to play without a glove and these enable you to do so. Pros: Excellent performance in rain and humidity and all other conditions. Better than anything else I've tried. Really nice on the hands. You have very good traction without the wear that cords would give, for example. LONG life. They last forever Cons: They are lighter than the typical grip (46g vs. 52g for a Tour Velvet e.g.). So if you are a swing weight nerd, they will make your swing weight go up about 2 points. Of course, there are folks that say when you use a lighter grip you are "fooling the scale." I never understood this. It's not noticeable to me anyways. They are REAL tacky. The Signatures more so than the kids. Like when you put your hand on them and apply pressure, you need to peel your fingers off of them afterwards. Some people don't like this. I have also used Best Grips Microperfs in the past. Those are nice also.
  20. Back in the day, it used to be noted that Bushnell GPS measurements were to fixed points at the front middle and back of the green whereas the Garmin's were variable. This meant that if you were on the side of the green, the Bushnell's front measurement was still to that fixed point which is now on your right or left while the Garmin's adjusted. Is this still the case?
  21. Did you see how slow the guy was in the video on their site? I cannot even imagine playing behind that guy. That aside, I'm intrigued but it's too much.
  22. I dont think the argument is whether the lofts are OK or not. Who cares. This being MGS, at least a subset of folks object to the marketing of the clubs. ie. "Cut the BS, we know the distance increase is just because you strengthened the lofts and lengthened the shafts", not because of the <insert> technology.
