  1. I am seeing them as having like 20 to 25 grams of sugar per bar depending on the flavor for the whole bar, at least based on the website nutrition facts. Total carbs is in the 40 to 50 gram range.
  2. Are we talking about the bars with like 20 to 25 grams of sugar as being a lot of sugar?
  3. I sort of understand the "can't optimize until fixing your swing", but most of us are always going to be trying to improve our swings no matter how low our handicaps are. I could see where a fitter would recommend lessons first for someone completely new to golf who can't get the ball in the air for example though. I would imagine you the ball pretty well given your low handicap.
  4. Random thought. I'm scared of playing with people who hit snap hooks off the tee every drive. Worried that the snap hooks are contagious, think I have finally become immune to them but still scared.
  5. @SuperSpeed Golf - apologize if this has been asked previously. i do crossfit style workouts 5 days a week. trying to figure out the best way to incorporate the superspeed program around that. is it better to do the superspeed program before my workout or after?
  6. I think for my next set of irons, I am going to look at graphite shafts. I've been diagnosed with tennis elbow that continues to linger, and steel shafts aren't helping.
  7. I tell that myself when I have a paypal balance. I think to myself, I'm not going to figure out how to transfer the balance to my bank account so I might as well spend it on golf stuff...
  8. And I will have spent a lot of money by then, given that about 50% of my posts are in the CHA thread
  9. Congratulations. I greatly admire that high post count. If I keep it up, maybe one day i will have 13,000 posts.
  10. Slightly strained my neck working out today. Very annoying, but should be okay for my weekly Sunday round.
  11. Just be careful that the "keeping head level" thought doesn't get too extreme to the point where you are trying to keep the head completely still.
  12. Unless you are a slicer, I would imagine that the B-21 would cause you to go left of left. On the TXG video, Ian had a pretty neutral swingpath and he felt shots that would normally go straight for him were going left with the B-21.
  13. Are you a slicer? Just curious because I saw you have your SIM lowered from 10.5 to 9.75 which opens up the face.
  14. When I make a proper swing and am not super delofted and steep, my Mavik Max irons with 950GH Neos fly pretty high and stop on a dime. These B-21s with a high launch shaft must be moon balls.
  15. Just saw Callaway's own comparison. Holy cow, i didn't know anything could be wider and more offset than the Mavrik Max in an iron.
  16. These new irons sound interesting. I play the Mavrik Max irons which are pretty chunky and have huge offset. Supposedly the B-21 irons are more forgiving and faster than the Mavrik Max.
  17. I am also curious to hit this club because in theory it should be the mostly the opposite of what I am looking for. I like to play a fade but don't hit the big banana slice ever. Once in a while I will hit a push fade or even a push slice when I get too quick. However, I am already on the low spin side. My misses tend to be high toe, so the ball comes out low spin. Even my good shots I would say are slightly toe biased. Almost never hit one off the heel unless I am messing around with my setup and standing really close to the ball. Would be an interesting experiment that i predict won't work well.
  18. Yeah, i know the anti-slice and Sub Zero are not in the same atmosphere. I guess the assumption here with this new Big Bertha is that the slicers hit high spinning open face heel slices. So reducing the spin with reduce the curvature. This is what the MGS article says: "To kill spin, Callaway is relying on a low and forward center of gravity location. By way of comparison, we’re not talking Mavrik forward but it’s significantly more forward than Mavrik Max and lower than both." I wonder if this will actually be a "forgiving" driver. In reading, I'm not seeing all that much tech around forgiveness except for the standard recent Callaway stuff like flash face. It feels like this is going to be a draw-biased Sub Zero in my opinion.
  19. I'm interested to see how this works out for the targeted audience. In theory it sounds good.
  20. My initial fitting (which was a bad fitting) for a prior set of irons was based on the old Ping chart, so that had put me in -1/2" and 2 flat. When I got fit the next time, which was a better fitting, the fitter agreed 1/2" shorter and 2 flat was right. I can't remember the exact details of how the lie angle was tested, but I think I remember sharpie marks on a ball and tape or something on the club head. So is the new Ping chart a better starting point?
  21. This new Ping chart is interesting. I am 5'5" with shoes on and somewhere between 30" and 31" wrist to floor, right about in the middle so let's call it 30.5". Right now I am playing my Callaway irons a 1/2" short and 2 flat. I wonder if flatter would help me. I tend to hold my arms higher at setup than I should because it looks weird to me when the toe is in the air with irons.
  22. Head movement has been a big issue for me when I have had the chunks. I had the head moving back, but the killer was the up and down movement as well. I'm not talking a small amount of up and down, I had way too much up and down. One of my swing thoughts currently is to try to keep my head level (not necessarily still) during the swing. OP - Not saying this is your problem, just wanted to share what had caused my chunks. I just recently got out of a streak of being a turf destroyer with short irons.
  23. Out of the tour level balls I have tried (Z-Star, Pro V1X, Pro V1, TP5, MTB-X), MTB-X is the only one that I notice a difference in terms of yards off the tee. For greenside, I don't notice much if any difference between the above tour level balls.
  24. This is a good summary (from the MGS article): "you can think of it as a higher launching, more forgiving, anti-slice version of the Sub Zero"
