Last weekend, I went down to Gulf Shores, AL with a group and played at Kiva Dunes, Peninsula Golf Club, and Craft Farms. 4 rounds in 3 days. Had an absolute blast. Last round of the weekend was one to remember as I shot one of my best rounds ever. Shot of the weekend happened to be during the last round. It was holing out from 160 in the rough with an 8 iron. It was tracking the whole way and got to see it drop. Now if it was just on the hole before that one... 76 42/34 2 birdies / 1 eagle 10 FIRs / 12 GIRs Below is what we dealt with at Kiva Dunes

Playing tomorrow at one of my local courses. They just updated a couple holes and included a Beatriz template on one of the greens. If the challenge includes a 4 putt, I might get it if I'm on the wrong side tomorrow!

Taylormade SLDR 4-AW for the past 5-6 years. I've enjoyed these, but was not far off from starting the process of looking for my next set. Lining up a fitting for next week. Looking forward to seeing how these feel. I've read they offer more forgiveness than it seems.

I picked Alabama to win it. At least they survived the crazy first round. The road to the elite 8 for them consists of a 10 seed, and a 11 or 14 seed. Decent chances that I’ll take! I’m secretly hoping Oral Roberts goes deep!

Update. Wolff has not turned it around.

I got Sungjae or Brooks to win it this week. I also want Wolff to turn it around, his driver has been off the past couple weekends.

I’m assuming that this week is set for WGC and not the PR open as well? That would create some craziness which I’m kind of here for.

I go down to Gulf Shores maybe 1-2 times a year. Kiva is a must. Challenging course with the wind off the ocean. Fun track. Not much rough to work with at all. You might get a visit from the local alligator on 18. Craft Farms has 2 courses: Cypress Bend is more resort style (wide fairways) and Cotton Creek is a little more challenging. I’ve played Cotton Creek and really enjoyed it. Peninsula has 3 - 9 holes courses. I haven’t played here, but heard it’s worth it. I am going to play Kiva, Peninsula, and Craft Farms in April with a group. I’d suggest those if you have time. I honestly haven’t heard much about the others.

Here’s one I got. I circled how high the ball actually got. I think the distance is close to being accurate. I don’t think the apex is exactly accurate. Do you typically carry about 90 yards with the 54?

I am heading to the PGA Championship (as long as fans are allowed) late May with some buddies and will be passing by the Taylormade Kingdom east coast facility in Georgia. Has anyone been to the Kingdom at Reynolds Lake before? I have heard you have to stay at least one night to be able to play one of the courses, is this true? I’d love to get away with showing up and playing one on my way to Charleston, SC. without having to stay a night at the Ritz-Carlton. If the above question, is nah, just call and schedule a tee time...I will probably only have time for one course. Which one should I play?

I’m trying to get a gapping session with one of the head pros at one of the local golf courses with a trackman to see how it compares with the Rapsodo. Weather hasn’t exactly cooperated lately. Hoping to compare here soon.

I have an iPhone 12, while it does seem to run your battery down faster, my phone has never died while using. That is to say, I don’t go to the range with my battery at lower than 20%, but I’ll check today or tomorrow and see what my battery percentage is on at the start and end for you.

Would love to see it. Hate he didn’t have a good round yesterday. I saw this tweet below (maybe it’s already been talked about here, so apologies if it has). We all know Tony is a great player and has a ridiculous amount of top 10s. It seems that there is always a push from a guy in the final round who goes -5 or better to win it. Si Woo went -6 last week. Na went -5 at the Sony. I’m not going to be mad at Finau for not winning more, he’s making a ton of money. I just wish he was able to put together that final round of -5 or better.
