  1. Very lucky, maybe the adhesive they usesd to use was much stronger than it is today??? haha
  2. I can't stand Bryson, his slow play, his attitude, he overall everything erks me. It's all personal some people love him, I do not. I love Fowler, Mickleson, McIlroy! Koepka, annoys me with his cocky attitude. "I don't remember my hole in one at Augusta" I like Dustin Johnson too but he is as smart as a dump truck.
  3. I know this topic has been covered a bunch and I have searched and read most threads regarding grips. I was hoping to hear from guys in high humidity/rain forest type environments. I play quite a bit in light rain and high humidity because I live in a rainforest. What would you recommend for grips? I have tried Golf Pride Tour Wrap 2G and they were great in the sun but terrible in the rain. I almost threw a club into the pond. I have also tried Golf Pride New Decade MCC Golf Grips and again they were great in the dry but not so great in the rain. I don't sweat too much and have rain gloves for when it's really coming down. What i'm really looking for is something I can be confident with in light rain and sticky wetness. Cheers mates!
  4. Warming up on the range before playing today, pull out my favotire club my 3 wood. Hit one ball enjoy watching it fly through the air. Hit the second ball my clubhead snaps off on my backswing and heads down range. Now I have a lightsaber (carbon shaft felt weightless) in my hands and whip that sucker through the air like a complete idiot and yell WTF on the range. Everyone looks at me and starts laughing and smiling. What the heck caused this? Small fracture from the previous shot? Heat from the car and being in the trunk on a hot day? It was pretty rad i'll say that. Bonus the pro shop gave me a loaner 3 wood to play with while they fixed mine. Turns out I cant hit the new cobra to save my life hahah. (picture to show where it broke not my club)
  5. Anyone using this ball? I have got great performance from the q-star. I was playing ProV-1s and the Srixon Z-Star. Figuried I would roll the dice on these when they were on sale buy one get one. I'm hitting the ball straighter and I'm getting almost the same distance off the tee with them. Being half the price of the ProV or the Z-Star I am very impressed with these balls. Sometimes my wedges will scuff them up but that rare and at this price point I just use them for practice or lose them into the water.
  6. I try to keep all my social media accounts close to the same name, some versions of strawberryshortcake sometimes with .bev my kids picked the name and I don't care enough to worry about the name of my media accounts.
  7. I totally understand that, I choose to go full retard and weight all my meals when i'm in contest prep mode. I've been weighing my meals for so long I can usually eyeball correct portions. If you have a hard time with over eating try lots of small meals throughout the day instead of the usual american diet of 3 meals. I find eating 6-8 smaller meals i'm satisfied until the next meal. If i'm really peckish and need to eat something I eat vegetables raw. You can pretty much eat as many veggies as you want and it won't affect your overall calorie intake too much. And pickled beans and dill pickles are my go to when I want salty crunchy. Skip the chips and eat as many pickles as you want. (if you have an ulcer you may want to avoid vinegar)
  8. Seems like you have a good Idea of what your doing. My suggestion would be to remove as many carbs as you can and eat a high fat high/protein combo. Eat your carbs before exercise or before during your golf round. I've lost a little big of muscle during this COVID lockdown having the gyms being closed but I feel healthier and fitter. I guess not lugging around and extra 20lbs of muscle is easier on my body. The only reason I had it was aesthetics, no real reason for performance. My drives have gotten a little bit shorter but are more accurate so I'm okay with the loss of less than 20 yards.
  9. I like that idea, I'm going to make one while i'm holidays. Cheers!
  10. I have midsize grips on all my clubs except my wedges they are jumbo. My dispersion has greatly reduced since the switch and my fade is alight tighter. Hopefully midsize grips will help. If they don't grips arn't that expensive. like dlow206 said do one grip and see how you preform.
  11. I was bodybuilding for a long time, how serious are you about losing weight? If you want to cut then you want to eat more meals that 3. During cutting I would eat as many as 8 meals to turn my metabolism into a machine. The fewer meals you eat the slower your going to metabolize it. You carbs/fat/protein looks fine but If you want to lean out and keep muscle mass on your going to have to train. Lift heavy in the gym and walk at least an hour a day. Keep the stress levels low (ie walking) so your cortisol stays low. The higher that stress hormone is the more muscle you will lose.
  12. Exactly the same for me. I love my 3H but mosre common than not I set up like a driver and just skull it. When I set up like a 3w or a long Iron it plays much better. I just have to remember to play it back in my stance like a 4 or 3 iron
  13. I really liked the apex pros they fit well and felt very nice off the face. My only gripe is the black finished looked so good when new, after about 20 rounds they look like trash. They play well no problems but to me the finish is a big part of looking down at my clubs.
  14. 50/42 was a terrible front but found my game on the back like usual. I blasted a 3 iron 225yrds right into a bunker I usually come up short of with my 3 wood. Not sure how it happend but was my best shot of the day and the fairway bunker wasn't too hard to play out of.
  15. Not sure yet but it will be needed after work today. Prob going straight to tequila and then follow up with a few rum and cokes.
  16. I'm only speaking for myself here, but I found the game improvement irons greatly increased my dispersion. Using a blade/muscle back/cavity back reduced the spread but the miss hits are bad. if you are shooting in the 100s you should be fine with GI irons. and like the above poster said if you can get fit hit as many different irons as possible and see what works best for your swing. I would also suggest lessons before you buy new clubs. Lessons will go a lot longer to get those scores down. you can play the best clubs in the world but if your swing is inconsistent lessons are worth way more than new clubs.
  17. Normally I would ask them to play through, but my home course has a no play through rule because of COVID. Its a pretty silly rule because we don't have to get close to play thorugh.
  18. I was more concerned about the 200mph golf ball that almost killed me.
  19. Long story short. The group infront of us today was deathly slow. The group behind us very impatient. Twice these dicks drove their ball into us in the middle of the fairway the second landing a foot from me. What would you do? What should I have done?
  20. Playing with what give you confidence is huge. Anytime I think I'm going to screw up a shot because of a club I usually do.
  21. Got a lesson and my swing back. Pretty happy with an 84 after shooting in the high 90s the past few weeks
  22. Been waiting for this. Had a practice round with the rocks and I'm looking forward to wrecking myself.
  23. Without getting fit how do you know what shafts to play. True Temper XP 105 is what are on my current irons and I like them just fine.
  24. I really want to get fitted, but right now there is no place that I can get fit within 500 miles and a ferry ride. Most clubs that were doing fittings are on hold until this COVID mess is sorted out. Maybe next year i'll get an entire bag fitting.
