  1. When i get into pull hooks which is pretty common for me, I'm not releasing and i'm swinging all arms and smashing it hard left. If I cant practice it away I'll just adjust my aim on the course more right to counter the pull. It usually takes me a few rounds to get it sorted out. And for some reason my hook pull adds 30 yards to my drive????
  2. I personally don't care about resale or the stickers. I like clean very clean so I usually remove the decals when they start fallling off. I play a couple times a week and the in and out of the bag usually wears them off pretty quickly.
  3. These fires are killing me, smoke is so bad and being outside sucks. What the heck can I do to fix my golf itch while California is burning?
  4. How far are you going to take it? just a quick scrub and polish or are you going to strip it and grind it down and completly refinish it? They are some good videos on youtube i've watched them all.
  5. Congrats on that milestone. 2000 is a lot of posts dang!
  6. Didn't got smoked out. How is the weather in your neck of the woods if you live on the west coast?
  7. When first starting to play you are going to lose a lot of balls. Buy something that is in your price range and can afford to be lost. I would suggest srixon middle of the range balls. I was playing pro v 1s for a long time until I tried the srixon balls. I got the same performance from a cheaper ball. Try playing the soft feels for a while to see if you like them and the Qstar and the Zstar are also great balls and the price is good.
  8. My favorite is "are you having fun yet?" That dig safe comment is amazing i'm stealing that.
  9. Buy it for yourself and tell its the best gift she has ever gotten you. Thats what I would do haha
  10. Were all good friends and we're all military so we have a pretty dark sense of humor. It's all in good fun, we have worked with each other for decades and when were on the golf course we can throw rank away and throw zingers that we could not normally say at work.
  11. I play with the same group every week and we chuck s*** at each other the entire time. Its funny when your playing terrible or playing good because it's all in good fun. I have had a comment from someone while playing in a tournament that bothered me a little but I got over it real quick because I realized its not worth my time and I don't know this person and they mean nothing to me.
  12. I would echo what the other members have said. Bringing he higher handicap players back isn't going to improve their game and the might even get frustrated. When I play with players that a much better than I am. +1, +2 handicap they just put their driver in the bag and hit long irons off the tee. They always kick my butt and it makes it fun for them as well.
  13. After 3 weeks off, I shot 104. Ouch. Turns out if you don't play or practice for a few weeks your feel goes to crap. Overall it was a good day and it was crazy windy. Everyone in my foursome was about 15 strokes higher than usual.
  14. 100 the first year playing, but I practiced a lot on the range. 400 balls a day for a couple months 90 after 1.5ish years 80 never happened playing solo 70 Career goal.
  15. That's what I want to do as well. right now I have my clubs and cart in the corner with a couple vintage golf signs and a ball holder, with balls I have collected. I want to hang some vintage clubs in the corner.
  16. Looks awesome, I want to do something like that with some hickory clubs.
  17. Thay have sent them out for testing, I should know in a few weeks when I have my follow up with the urologist.
  18. I think he is going to destroy the champions tour, he was still doing alright with the young cats. Don't get me wrong he has plenty of missed cuts but is an incredible golfer and playing in the Champions might bring back the confidence he needs.
  19. Mother of all that is holy, Just recovered from kidney stones, went into emerg with stabbing pain, got a urine test and had blood in my urine. They did a CT scan and found a kidney stone. Gave me a week to try and pass it and then had surgery. Boy all I can say is I hope you never get kidney stones it's gotta be one of the most painful things I have ever experienced. Had to take 3 weeks off golf and it sucked mentally to be off the course. I'm back at it this weekend. Hope you guys are doing well, I haven't been on the forum for a few weeks.
