This is an interesting take. Did the break from professional golf due to COVID give players the opportunity to reevaluate their careers?
Brooks clearly came out of COVID with a return to the office attitude. Doing this as a job.

I've heard good things. I'm not a huge fan of the cooler pocket but I know that's appealing to others. I just checked their website and thought the troupers were cheaper than $280. I thought they were closer to $200. For the same price, you can checkout Ping Hoofers or Titleist Players 4. 
I don't think you can go wrong. I'm also always a fan having a bag that is different from the major OEMs.

It does seem like that but it's also on brand for Brooks. I can totally see him in a few weeks going back to the media and saying "I never said I was joining LIV. You all said that. I said at the time I was focused on the US Open. You're twisting my words." 
As much as it sounded like he was still open. He loves to compete and is a killer competitor. Even with the money, he would be miserable playing the "exhibitions".

This week was a dream week for the PGA Tour. LIV had some strong momentum at the start, a few "known" players, new format, good production, and easy to access. The only thing they were missing was a good golf product that created drama for the viewer. 
The team that was pre-selected ran away with it, no surprise. Charl has been playing high quality golf and it showed. But what a disappointment from DJ, Phil, Westwood, Sergio, Gooch... The product is only as good as the competition. 
I know this was a dream week with Rory, Tony, and JT battling down to the 17th hole playing spectacular golf and not every week is like this but I just have to wonder how many of the LIV players would have cracked top 20 or even made the cut.

Following up on the majors conversation. US Open and Open Championship have pretty clear entry guidelines and I don't see that changing.
PGA Championship - meh, we'll see what happens but I also think that these players would be okay not playing in this major
Masters - Could have the biggest impact BUT look who is with LIV - Sergio, Charl, DJ, P Reed, Phil, (possibly Bubba) all winners. 7 winners out of the last 13 years... A ban there could actually hurt that tournament. 
LIV is in the drivers seat unless Monahan has a few tricks up his sleeve.

I will admit that I'm soured on Shipnuck after his hypocrisy about covid in 2020 and some of the resulting back-and-forth with both fans and tour pros on Twitter, so there is some bias in my takes.
