I have older version of Hyperflex - maybe a '2' ??? I still like them a LOT. Few years ago, I had developed a slight bunion on side of right foot big toe. Had played 4 out of 5 days wearing DryJoys. Had to buy the Hyperflex in the wide width for fit. no complaints at all. ------------------ Recently bought a pair of Tour Joys (wide width). They seem to be ok. Think the Hyperflexes are more comfortable (but the Tour Joys aren't fully broken in yet). Wish the bunion would recede... Was thinking of trying the Squairz, but they weren't offered in wide widths.... Happy golfing to all.... Stay safe... no better place to be -- than open air on a golf course

well, you knew there had to be at least a hundred different answers..... but interesting to hear which... I use a red Odyssey works two ball. which superceded a Slotline; which superceded a 60's Ben Hogan. I think the two ball helps line up short putts. Otherwise my shoulder rock style putts about the same; even with a borrowed Scotty Cameron. So i guess I'm not too sensitive about what equipment I use.

definitely search Craigslist, Facebook, estate/garage sales for the least expensive used clubs / bags. However beware not to buy really old clubs.... BUT, go to a golf store or local course shop first.... just to see differences between forged and cast irons (you want perimeter weighted irons for max forgiveness on off center hits). read some equipment reviews, learn about 'game improvement' clubs vs clubs designed for low handicap players. You might have a local, used sports equipment store, e.g. "Play it again Sam" If you have a golf playing friend; he might own a few sets.... (most golfers have 'extra' sets)..... that you could borrow...????? When you proficient enough to hit a ball 150 yards, fairly straight, 60-70% of the time; and you are 'hooked on golf'; then upgrade & buy a set of decent clubs... You can still buy pre-owned. Don't be brainwashed by store salesmen to buy their new sets, even if they offer 90 days free trade-ins.... ===== Take some lessons !!! Get started the correct way..... so you don't waste time 'unlearning' bad habits !!! Golf can have a really steep learning curve. Good luck, Have FUN ps: you don't even have to buy NEW balls, either. The only things you NEED buy new are shoes and gloves (if you wear one)

Since your bag has room, keep your 60*. My 60 is used maybe twice a round -- for flops severe downhill pitch/chips... as the 52* is used for 75% of all chips and short pitches. Depends what you use your 60* for. would determine if you replace with a newer model; or maybe you want newer just for looks??? If you need more spin, some new clubs have extra 'sandpaper' like surfaces for more grip...

I carry Driver, 5-wood, 4 hybrid, 2, 4-W irons, et al. I use the 2i mostly for intentional fades, slices, trouble punch shots. For distance I control the 4H better than 2i.

I've never felt comfortable wearing a glove.... I don't change club grips very often, either. Most often changed is the driver..... every 3 years, as the thumb area seems to wear out the fastest. I play 60-70 rounds per year. Use midsize grips. just changed driver grip to a Lamkin (forgot model name) that does not have much taper. Theoretically to counter right hand turning over. It works as my pronounced draw is lessened (also have driver set for slight fade; 9.5* ~ 220 yds carry) all other clubs have mixture of golfpride/Lamkin.... as I change when needed.... Superstroke installed on Odyssey putter. ps: I was told that oversize grips lessen hand action....

I noticed Titleist are charging $100 for fitments. which used to be for free..... However, Titleist will credit you $100, if you buy their clubs... Perhaps other manufacturers will follow suit.... or not....

I never buy any new balls: 1) I find more than I lose. 2) I take lots of risks (as I don't care if I lose a ball). so balls last a round or two. 3) type/brand of ball doesn't really affect my game. I can drive 230yd using ProV-1 or range balls. perhaps brand names go further??? I've never measured; as 10 yards either way off the tee won't change my overall score. I do think I can work the ball better using a ProV-1, though... (TBD)

my idea of a fade is hitting average height/trajectory, aiming 10 yards left of target. about halfway during the flight, ball will gently start curving right. should move about 5-15 yards. more would have meant I over-cooked it, into a slice. ball starting right of target line is open face push. ========= currently, if i contact at 10:00, I can get a gear effect, nice high draw =========== when I was younger (and swung harder) with a neutral swing path or hit from the top, outside in..... a pull fade would result.
