Kor.A.Door
So I was at golfsmith, and I saw the putter fitting tools sitting out so I grabbed the lie angle tool, set up for my normal putting stroke, and read what the scale showed the lie angle to be, it was 78, I know that I stand pretty tall while putting, it's comfortable for me, but I had no idea that I was that far upright. Do y'all have some goofy lie angles on your putters? Lefties are always in their Right Mind
BIG STU
I have some goofy lofts because I forward press so much. My standard loft for me depending on the type or style of putter is around 6* but I deloft it on impact to around 3 or 4. Now on the Cameron Santa Fe I did check it and it sits great for me at around 72 lie and 4 loft. I putt so well with it the only thing I did to it was change the rotted grip and add some weight. I did the last two after a naval jelly soak and cleaning Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. Chris O.
I have mine pretty flat at 67*. I don't know how odd that is and it's not as different as your 78*. But what matters is that you make putts! Kor.A.Door
67 is very flat, opposite ends of the spectrum here. I would have to putt from my knees to be able to use 67* on a putter. Lefties are always in their Right Mind
scramble468
I believe this is one of the most overlooked aspects of the putter. Most people just buy a putter off the shelf that felt incredible. They get out to the course and putt pretty much the same as they did before. Just as you should be fit for every other club in your bag, your putter should be fit as well. I never really thought about it until I purchased my last putter. Now that I am fit for my lie angle and loft, I can putt freely with my stroke and understand my misses. It was a very important step to making my game complete. Unfortunately, I made it my last club to be fitted for.
