seancgmartin
Finally taken delivery of my gift to myself! Will obviously get fit up for the right shafts - but any of you out there got any ideas on how I might go about shafting/ferrules/grips to make these as pretty as the heads? deejaid
Those are beauties man, I’m sure you will enjoy them. As for dressing them up, I always like Boyd Blade & Ferrule Co. ferrules. They are a little pricey but add the bling. With that clean of a head they may be too much though. Perhaps a black ferrule with a single gold ring would do nice.As for shafts that’s up to you and there are tons of great options but for grips I’d say GripMaster leather grips. Cost a few bucks more but the feel great.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk BIG STU and seancgmartin 1 1 Quote WITB: Stan Thompson “Reactionizer” persimmon woods 1-4 Spalding Tour Edition 3-PW Spalding Top-Flite E.V.A. seancgmartin
I like the grip master grips idea - have one on an old putter. Yeah, the shafts are obviously fitting dependent. Was also thinking down the line of a plain white ferrule with white iomic grips - though I could be swayed to black on black! Although I always like the ferrules to be black with variations on the ring colors. I haven’t gotten down with the colored ferrules at all, like blue with white rings or similar, just not my thing. If I was building these Epon’s I’d find a set of black ferrules with either gold or silver metal rings, not just gold or silver colored plastic. Those ferrules with the real metal rings look really high end on a classic blade.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk BIG STU and seancgmartin 2 Quote WITB: Stan Thompson “Reactionizer” persimmon woods 1-4 Spalding Tour Edition 3-PW Spalding Top-Flite E.V.A. Huge fan of the Personal 2's - just beautiful and so much cleaner than the 1's. I like just black ferrules with a single chrome line and definitely leather grips - that sounds so sweet That said, DJ does beautiful work with clubs so he knows what he's talking about. Whatever you do - those clubs are sweet. My last set of blades were Endo forged - Saqra 1150. They were designed by a long time employee of Epson. They are amazing and the Personal's are among the best of the best. A bit of difficulty importing them from Australia, but worth it! 16 hours ago, deejaid said: You know it Stu. I dig them classic or with some bling. It will be a more cohesive look.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk seancgmartin 1 Quote WITB: Stan Thompson “Reactionizer” persimmon woods 1-4 Spalding Tour Edition 3-PW Spalding Top-Flite E.V.A.
