Assuming you have an off-season, is there any reason to "break in" new grips, use them in the dome? Or is it best to do your replacement the week before the first round of the year? I don't replace every year but, I don't have any particular practice for timing. I did my irons months ago but have held off on my wedges until now. Haven't found a need to bream them in nor do I feel there needs to be a specific time of year to do the replacement. pbclub Posted March 23 Share Posted March 23 I do my own so I just do them whenever I feel they need to be changed. I have never worried about a break in, I just use them. No need to break in new grips. They are at their best when new. Of course, time of year is a variable in determining play or practice.
