I was able to get a quick 9 in after work. I was a little all over and ended up shooting 4 over.

Hole 1 -  driver pulled a little into the left rough
Hole 2 -  driver, came out the swing a bit but despite that still hit just in the right rough about 280. Second shot into the par 5 the ball was about a foot and a half above my feet. Chocked all the way down on my hybrid and some how it it dead straight. The problem being I was aiming right expecting it to go left off that lie and ended up landing on the cart path which sent my ball into the river behind the green.

Hole 3 - Driver on a drivable par 4 if I hit one really good. But after 1 left and 1 right I went full Tin Cup and got into my head and almost toped it 🤣.

Hole 5 - Driver again and was able to get out of my head and just swing and hit it 350 right down the middle.

Hole 6 - is a short par 4, dog leg right is even shorter as the back tee boxes have fell into the river. Tried to hit a hight hard cut with my hybrid. I hit the correct shape but quite a bit right. I wasn’t able to convince myself to start it left enough as at the green you have 5 yards at most to the left and behind before you are in the river. So not only if I didn’t cut it but if I just hit normal full length it would be in the river. To be honest if I wasn’t testing I would probably have got down a club to know that normal length would be just short and trying to see if I could stretch it out and roll it on.

Hole 8 - Tight par 4 with OB on both sides. Pulled 5 wood and trying to keep it low out of the wind and hit it a little thin so stayed really low. It went right on the start line but with how low I hit it ended up catching a fairway bunker that sticks out and got stuck in the lip.

Hole 9 - another hard tee shot that driver it to much and can roll into the water through the fairway and it also dog legs around water to the left. I pulled my 5 wood left of were I was aiming but I thought it was still okay but turns out it either caught the water on the left or rolled through into the water past the fairway as that part is dead and hard pan right now.

Not a great day but I can blame the shafts. Especially not for my mental errors. I am still really enjoying them and thinking back on the miss hit drivers the dispersion really was pretty good for what I felt the swing was and no shaft can fix it I just put a bad swing on it.

Scheduled a sim session yesterday to get some data to share with members and have to say I'm not impressed with my ability set up and aim properly related to range on the screen. I was all over the place with regards to dispersions and shot shape.  Next visit will include alignment sticks to use as reference to keep me on track. Then to top it off the report generator on the trackman system I was on wasn't working either and the attendant could not correct the issue. Fortunately, I took a picture of the screen tables before shutting it all down. I have provided average data for each shaft below. I was so frustrated with my swing that I cut the session short after the hybrid testing and have a lesson scheduled Friday to see if we can figure out what I have to do to get back on track.
Then I will need to find a simulator that will give me reports to share here.

The TPT shaft is clearly showing improved performance characteristics and as I said earlier in my comments, I am loving the results of this shaft, terrible swing and all.
Now to get my swing better sorted this Friday and move on to the 3W and driver, although early indications lead me to believe I should experience similar results.
As a side note, I went to the range today to hit a small bucket and stay loose and had no issues with alignment and shot shape or direction. Maybe I'm overthinking it on the sim? At any rate lesson is still on for Friday...

To follow up on the quick trackman session I did yesterday. As I stated before the overall numbers are pretty similar for me but the dispersion with the TPT shaft in the driver and 5 wood were both better.
Here is the 5 wood dispersion (TPT is violet)

Here is driver dispersoin (TPT is purple)

At the very end since I had a few minutes I decided to circle back to the TPT shaft and hit 6 more shots swinging harder. Not that I was swinging easy on the others. I have been trying to got at it a little more after Jon in the fitting kept telling me to stop guiding it. For reference swing speed then was around 107 mph. The swings above are all average right at 110 mph and the 6 swings below with the TPT average 112 mph.

As you can see above even swinging harder the dispersion with the TPT was still tighter then the others. Even with 2 of them being decent miss hits.

Sunday afternoon I finally got the F-1 on the course.  It was a hit and giggle 9-hole round with my 10 and 8 year olds in tow, so I can’t provide much in the way of Strokes Gained or any insightful statistical analysis.
What I can say: it was the first time in a long time where putting was a strong point!  I went to the course right after a Stack session and with pre-workout pumping through my veins…not exactly a recipe for accuracy.  I barely kept it in bounds and only had 3 GIRs, but I also only had 13 putts on the round and no 3 putts.

That’s a bit misleading in that my short game is coming around a bit; I hit several chips close.  That said, I also drained a par-saving 12 footer and an 18-footer for birdie.  My confidence is beginning to really climb with this thing!

    Sorry for the late response!
I can’t see a scenario where I don’t end up bagging this.  If there’s one thing I’m convinced of is that the fitting process works, and that this is a much better fit for me than the face-balanced models I’d been using. That alone means I’m not going back.

Went to the range yesterday and while the range see ion wasn’t the best I spent an hour on the practice green here are the a few of the results. Ball really does perform well around the green.

I'm still liking the CT.  Played it again over the weekend & it performed great.  I played it alongside the AVX.  Distance was about equal for the most part, with a slight edge going to the CT.  Definite discernable difference in sound for sure.  More muted sound of the CT vs the AVX, for obvious reasons.  But spin was where the CT performed admirably.  Stopping on a dime & even backing up on some shots.  One hop forward & spin back past the ball mark.  I'm definitely not a huge spin guy, so this is a huge plus for me.  The triple track does help my concentrate on putting it end over end.  I didn't think it would in the beginning.  I kind of thought it was a gimmick or just a ploy for you to buy their ball but it does work in that aspect.  In terms of the ability to align to the starting line or the hole, that's a different story.   It's not the balls fault I can't see 😆 I see one thing behind the line, align the ball, then get over the putt & see something completely different.  Help .... I need PELZ!  I need to be fit for a putter.   this is where I lose most of my strokes.
I just received my 4 for 3 deal from Titleist of the Left Dash.  So this will be the next ball I'll comparing it with.  Stay tuned

    Good Evening.

Today I completed my fitting this afternoon at Tour Prove Golf with Colin Hamilton.

Colin explains how they use the "Ground Reaction Forces" Data to determine the shaft that best fits your swing. As it takes into account your body weight, body turn, shift between your feet, plus other Data that calculates what shaft would best work for you.
One thing that Colin pointed out was that they don't advertise on the site what is the flex of each shaft  ie. regular, stiff, x-stiff. Because they want the "Ground Reaction Forces Data" to determine the correct shaft and not to be based on the flex of the shaft.
After getting warmed up, Colin set up the pressure plates to begin gathering Data.
My Drive is TM Qi10 MAX set at 8.5  Loft with Fujikura Speeder NX TCS 50.

What I found interesting was that we only took 4 shots with my current setup to collect the algorithm.
Colin explains because all users swings are unique the Data collected is like a DNA for your swing.
I asked if he needed it to get on the plates again after getting the information on the recommended shaft. He said no because the Data would not change.

After the Data was collected, it was suggested between the Orange and White. Colin explains that I was right at the borderline between the Orange and White shafts.

We started testing with the Orange Shaft, 1st thing I noticed was how light it was specially in the tip. Even thou, the shaft weighs at 65 compared to my 50 of my gamer.
The swing felt loose on the down swing and didn't feel stable almost whippy. And this was do to the soft tip of the shaft.

Because of this we moved into the Yellow Shaft, this was stiffer and felt better, but still not as comfortable with this shaft.
Moved on to the White Shaft with a stronger tip. This had the desired feel and the ball speed and smash factor numbers jumped up.
Tweak the loft a few degrees up and down, but at the end we came back to my current settings of 8.5.
At the end the ball speed jump from 135.2mph to 139.8/140mph with the White Shaft.
Carry Distance jumped up from 194 yds to 211.7 yds and total distance from 221.8 yds to 227.5 yds

One of the things I had noticed was that when I put my game shaft back on my driver it felt much heavier than with the Terra Forza. Colin wanted to know why the big difference and we found out that even though my shaft weighs 50 the swing weight is set at D8.
Versus Terra Forza White Shaft weighs 65 but the swing weight is set at D5.
Colin is getting the White Shaft built and will have shipped hopefully by the end of the week.

After the fitting I decided to go play a practice round at a course and am planning to play in a tournament on Sunday. This way I can compare the numbers on the course if I get the new shaft before Sunday.

Ironically , I drove the ball great at the course, and missed 3 fairways (just in the first cut). Average and longest drive, doesn't compare to the Trackman numbers distances. So now I am really curious to compare these numbers with the numbers of the new shaft.

Since my chance of winning some wedges from the Masters Pool was zero 😂 on Saturday, I went and bought a new SM9 46 deg 10F with a BV 105 Nippon shaft.  I tried it out today and it was great.  While not free it was cheaper than a SM10.

It’s official. It’s TPT vs the world. May 18 & 19. Okay. Perhaps not quite the battle for the free world as we know it, but William P. and I are teaming up for a tournament at my club.
I’m really looking forward to it, and it is an Invitational 2 Day-2 Man Best Ball Tournament. So we have a goal to work towards. We will have the practice day before then, but it’s just 5 weeks. We will try to get together before then but he is headed on a golf trip, and I have another tournament.
It will be fun no matter how it turns out.

Just got home from the tournament.
As predicted from the Sr. Tees I was playing as a +1 today.  Got low gross individually but our team didn’t fare so well in the 4 man combined Net event.  Hard to beat teams that get a lot of strokes.
Used 3 wood mostly off the tee today. Like yesterday it performed extremely well.
I did hit driver 3 times. Two of those drives got me into trouble.
Below is a good example of the course.  Lots of water, dog legs and tight fairways.

I was able to get out to the range today hitting directly into a 20 to 30 mph wind. Despite the wind exaggerating anything you do dispersion was still pretty good with all 3. I also snuck in a quick trackman session at the end of the day to try and compare to my current shafts. Some how my dumb self forgot the hybrid shaft. But with the 5 wood and both my other driver shafts the overall #s are similar but TPT’s had better dispersion.

The greens have been scarified twice today, seeded and top dressed so this is bound to have an effect on the putting for the next week or two. Will have to see how much of a difference this makes for the Runner

I played yesterday with my Dad's group. This course has much faster greens that my home course, but I play here several times a year so I knew that going in. I spent some time on the practice green to dial in the pace and my lag putting was excellent all day. I made putts from 18' and 15', and only missed 1 putt from inside of 10'. This was a scramble format again, but this time I was putting last so I got to see a couple of putts before I putted.
I'm walking 9 after work at my home course tonight, hopefully I can readjust to the slower greens as quickly as I did the faster greens yesterday.

Took the RUNNER out for a spin on the putting green on the weekend and definitely enjoying it. I'll echo a few of the others who've talked about the alignment - very nice and clear. Stands out a lot and helps both from above and behind. I'm currently playing a lot with the Callaway triple tracks and it looks lovely with this given the red and red combo.

Also to give you a better view of the weights as well

I am also liking how it looks down the line. While it's not quite centre-aligned, the way the shaft comes down towards the alignment line, it can feel that way looking down on it which I like as it feels like another way to line the ball up and ensuring you're bringing it back to where you want the ball to be.

All in all, I'm liking getting used to the putter and trying to get on the course this mid-week to play with it some more. First full round is booked for Sunday so want to get some more practice in before then.

Got some spin tests done today at a local pitch and putt. Not the greatest greens to work with but quiet enough that I could do this stuff without people around.
First off, a 20 yard high spin skip and stop. Spin is pretty good.
Here is a 30 yard high spin shot, open the face right up, full swing with a 60 to really try spin it up.
Finally a 48 degree from about 110 yards. For these kinds of shots, if the pin is too far back, I found it easy to take a 3/4 swing with one club down and have it stop on the spot.

Got out for the first torture test today. These balls were selected because I had them on hand (comp winning, free balls at demo days etc). I could have included more but I don't think my arms could handle that many hits.
Taylormade TP5 Callaway Chrome Soft Srixon Z Star Titleist Pro V1 (latest model) Results were interesting. 20 shots with a 9 iron on each ball in the nets which would be fairly hard on them because it's close to a wedge. I hit my 9 iron around 135/140 yards on any given day. I plan to hit another 20 tomorrow with a 5 iron, and 20 the next day with a 7 iron.
The first photo looks bad, but this seems to be residue from our practice nets at golf course on the balls. This might not reflect normal play, but out on the course, the ball will be landing on hard ground, hitting trees etc so I felt given all the balls are experiencing this, it's fair for all of them.

Cleaned up, they look a little better. All the balls did well.

My expectations were surprisingly wrong. I expected the order of damage to be (sequenced good to bad) Titleist ProV1, Callaway, Taylormade and Srixon. Keep in mind, this could well just be hitting sharp edge on the net so we could well see these results change in the next couple of sessions.
The actual results after 20 balls were a tie between Callaway, Srixon, Taylormade, then Titleist. The Titleist had the most damage with a number of larger wear patches. The other balls had minor spots, but nothing major. It will be interesting to see if that changes as the test goes on, because I suspect the thinner covers will show more wear over time.
    The Taylormade TP5

    Callaway Chrome Soft

    The Srixon Z Star

The Titleist faired the worse with some noticeable damage to the ball. At first I thought these might be residue that didn't come off, but it wasn't.

@TJ HallChanging three shafts at once is nerve wracking.  Especially when the three clubs they went in are ones that I feel were dialed in pretty well.
The results at the fitting were really good which was exciting and made me hopeful.
But results on the course over multiple rounds are what matter.
I’ve played 4 rounds of golf and had two range sessions so far with them.
These shafts have required absolutely no adjustment on my part.
Not sure I can adequately verbalize the feeling of stability and control these shafts have given me.
The most visible and obvious tangible result so far is slightly more distance and better dispersion.
