Good morning Spies!
Back to the grind this am and started my day out by leaving the house without my coffee. looped back and grabbed it because i have a feeling its going to be one of those days. I hope everyone has an easy day getting back into the swing of things!

I don’t blame you, it’s ridiculous isn’t it. I mean how hard is it to put some sunscreen on and keep hydrated? Not exactly high temps is it! I despair at times with how mollycoddling the govt have become in this country. 27 to me is a nice summer temp and not a reason for a heat warning.

Morning all!
It has been a minute since I had some time to be on the forum. Took a new position that has been challenging from a leadership position but is starting to take shape now. Lots more to do in the transformation side of the business but I should be able to at least breath again and enjoy the morning caffeine and MGS thread once again.
Hope everyone is doing well. I have seen a ton of new opportunities on MGS for products that look amazing. I am so pleased to see the growth of this platform. I have been seeing more and more, MGS being quoted in product reviews from companies and even on YouTube videos by content creators. Great to see that level of credibility surfacing in the wild. The staff and team have worked incredibly hard to make this platform a community and they have succeeded. When I am unable to get on here regularly, I feel like I am missing so much. Thank you! to the MGS staff and team for supporting guys like me who would otherwise struggle to make sense of the golf world.
Today is National Praline Day. I didn’t have a proper praline until I went to Texas. They are delicious but probably not the best for you. That means @Dead Solid Bogey should probably stay away from them unless the she ruler allows him such delicacies. 😉

Happy Monday.... ugh.
Last week was a busy one. I was on staycation and it was fair week in town, so we got to enjoy that all week with the kiddo. We were also dealing with some drainage issues with our house, so it was a very eventful week off. I did manage to play a couple rounds of golf, so that was a plus! I feel like I've missed so much with my routine being out of whack! Anywho... back to work today and back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Good morning Spies! Weekend was a little more eventful than I had hoped. Flew home from Philly Saturday night. Within a couple of hours I was notified that my mom was in the emergency room, from which she was admitted to the hospital. GI bleeding was the problem. Lost a lot of blood, needed a transfusion, but bleeding has stopped and they indicated she may get to go home this afternoon or tomorrow. CT scan identified another problem, unrelated to the bleeding, which might require surgery for a younger person but probably not for an 84-year-old.
The LAB headcover arrived Saturday, looks nice and is now in place on my putter. Must say the "unboxing", consisting of ripping open a brown paper mailing envelope, was distinctly underwhelming, but I like the headcover. It will look nice in Scotland, if I don't lose it on a links dune somewhere.
Making plans for 2025, speaking of Scotland. A return trip to Scotland in the works, have contacted a couple of friends about that (also would be open to an MGS roadtrip). One of those friends wants me to attend the US Open with him at Oakmont; strongly considering that. Awaiting word on my application for Masters tickets (will hear in July) and my application to volunteer at the PGA in Charlotte. Which it appears that I can do that as soon as I pay $300 for the mandatory volunteer package (shirt, cap, etc.)
@Northern Monkey had to chuckle at your description of the UK heat wave. Met Office says you're looking at 27 C today in Greater London. Which is certainly not cool, but I would have loved 27 this weekend; it was 36 C in Philadelphia on Friday.

@MattWillGolf. Check and clear the strainer in the bottom.  Also, do a full empty cycle with a cup of vinegar, just throw it in the bottom, usually cleans the sensors from soap scum build up.

Good morning spies!  After shooting double-bogey on each of the first 5 holes at Cabot Cliffs (on GSPro on the home sim), I shot my first ever hole-in-one on the 6th!  Also my first ever eagle 🙂  With the 90% + humidity , 37C temps and thunderstorms in Ottawa, so happy to have a simulator to play on … the A/C is certainly a bonus too!

Monday - Jun 24….Been a while since posting  a Good Morning to the MGS Community- so “Goooooooddddd Moooorrrnniiinnnng MGS Community” (in my best Robin Wms voice).  It’s gonna be hot and humid is Eastern NC today - maybe we’ll get some rain a little later today, we need it.  Also looking forward to getting the gloves in soon for the CaddyDaddy Claw test (  https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/65024-caddydaddy-claw-2024-forum-member-review/   )….will be a fun test…
 

Morning all!  Slugging down the coffee, a doughnut would be nice.  Going to start a big landscape project today.  Going to be a nice 100 degree day here in Kansas.  This is the big golf week, going to Lake of the Ozarks to play Old Kinderhook

Uppa with a cuppa. The heat spell has broken in CNY. It’s 62 and raining this morning. Not much on tap today. A treadmill run, my least favorite run.
Then I need to dig into the error light on the dishwasher. A “sanitation” error. I think appliances may getting too “smart”. If hot water out of the hot water heater combined with soap is good enough for washing by hand then by god, it should be good enough for the dishwasher.

@Kenny B Eastern Washington fires are no joke. I remember summers north of Seattle with orange hazy skies and walking out to ash on my car from the fires. Hope they get contained quickly.

Good morning everyone. Another loop scheduled for this afternoon and we are expected to get our first day above 100. Not thrilled but it was bound to happen sooner or later.  
Enjoy Old Kinderhook. I played there twice last year. Really fun course.

The broil mode is in full effect! 🥵 Going to do yard work early today and at least be finished before the brutal afternoon heat, but there will be no golf activities today unless I do some indoor putting after recovering from the morning sauna session...
New wedges should arrive tomorrow, hopefully, so I am hoping to get out early Wednesday morning and try them out before putting them in the bag for Thursday's round.

I know it’s the good morning thread. But I will mention it again in the morning. Meeting my bio-dad today went absolutely wonderfully. Had a good long talk and it just flowed easy. Was super nervous, but that went away pretty quickly. Going to the ball game tomorrow and I can’t wait.
