Wheelieb got a reaction from cksurfdude in The Good Morning Thread
I'm taking a big step forward this year. I am signing up to get my official handicap and not just the 18 birdies handicap. I am looking forward to getting to see where I come in at to where I end at in a year.

So the goal for the new year is a fresh set of irons for sure. I don’t need a brand new driver as I’m getting last years paradym in a 9 degree head. I just can’t pass that up when it gives me an extra 10 yards and is more consistent than my current driver which is the Rogue St. I just need to find a good fitter where I can dial in the proper head and shaft, but I’m already leaning towards those Mizuno pro 245/243 irons

Gonna have to do this next year instead of just letting 18 birdies do it

Haha! Same Same....
Now after trying to play another 18 this afternoon it may go up. My old a$$ doesn't have it in me for 36 these days. 😆

Wheelieb reacted to TSauer in L.A.B. Putters - 2023 Forum Review
I thought I had some comparison shots of the width, but I guess not. I did some measuring just now and the Link is the same width as your normal anser style, even though at first glance is does sort of appear thicker. It comes in at 1.1875". However, the Link is a little longer than your average blade. I was able to find those photos, you can check them out here if you're curious.

It is a bit longer compared to other blade style putters, so I did a few side-by-side comparisons with some of the other putters I have. The dimensions of the Link.1 are as follows:
Toe to Heel: 4.875"
Width: 1.0625"

Every time I see the Link it always looks like it is wider than a normal blade closer to maybe a Scotty Square back. I've not seen one in person so I can't judge that. I've just never got along with a blade style putter though.

Wheelieb reacted to TSauer in L.A.B. Putters - 2023 Forum Review
As a Link tester, the most difficult part for me was the center shafted head. It was a little funky looking at (I've never hit a center shafted putter), but now it just feels natural. It's funny though, after gaming the Link for a little while after the testing was over I ended up putting around with one of my other blades and it actually felt/looked weird to me because I had gotten so used to the center shafted setup.
Love the Link though!

Sorry, late to the party on this. for the testers who went with a style that is similar to the putter you used prior, for example if you used a blade and went with the link 1 or a mallet and went with one of the other models. What would you say was the more difficult part to get used to when actually putting while looking down at address?
