  1. I agree with Dubv23, Sun Mountain is my favorite bag. Tons of features and very comfortable to carry.
  2. I love to walk the course but it's impossible here with the courses being carved in the side of a mountain range. The elevation changes would have you ready to pass out on the first hole alone. They made us walk it in high school but had a few shuttles between holes. It was still a tough task!
  3. Yesterday I was trying to work on hitting a straight ball. I've spent the past two seasons perfecting the push draw and it has become my stock shot. I can play the baby fade on command, but when I try to hit one dead straight I still get a small draw on it. Here was the result of yesterday's session.
  4. This thread is awesome. I started trying to lose weight back around Thanksgiving and did really well until I hit a rough patch. I was down 31 pounds. I've only put about 7 back on but I'm hitting it hard again. Time to get back to a healthy weight and seeing all the success in here is going to help me get there!
  5. Just picked up a nice set of Mizuno MP-32's that I plan on refinishing. Tried them on the range and wow, they feel like butter!
  6. Can't beat mountain golf! Just went out to try a few different changes, didn't even have a scorecard with me. Today was about practice and enjoying golf!
  7. I'm either playing at Atlanta Athletic Club, Bear's Best, or Rivermont on Thursday. I'd be down to play at a later date though, maybe in a few weeks. Where do you like to play? I'm a little over an hour away but drive down to play a good bit.
  8. Maybe I just miss sports but I loved the TaylorMade match and I'm excited for this one too. I love to watch golf and Mickelson is one of my favorites. Not to mention I'm a huge Manning fan as well so it should be cool to watch.
  9. After being a reader for years and now an active member, I am happy to say I've set up the recurring donation to MGS. This place is awesome, I'm loving all of the golf talk and review opportunities, and the golf ball test from last year and the upcoming lab from this year have me coming back for more! Is there somewhere I can get the Donor badge?! Thanks for everything!
  10. That's normal summer weather here in Georgia. Ridiculous humidity and 90°+. Pants look nice but are uncomfortable about 5 minutes after you get out of your car, haha.
  11. I am absolutely loving this. Nice pace of play, the guys getting to play in shorts, and most importantly... LIVE SPORTS!!
  12. Well I know it's an old thread but might as well. Right now I'm pretty heavy Mizuno. I have always preferred their irons over anyone. A friend of mine had a Mizuno CLK hybrid and let me try it. He didn't get it back, this thing is crazy good. Then I won a raffle for the ST190 driver and 3 wood so they're in the bag for now and are performing quite admirably. In all honesty though, I have always played whatever fit me best. I'm switching my wedges back to SCOR, my driver before this was actually the Nicklaus ML4 which is a beast of a driver, and I played a Tour Edge XCG7 Beta 3 wood. I wasn't really liking it anymore so I entered the raffle for the Mizuno woods and got lucky. As for the putter, it can change monthly, whatever I'm feeling at the moment. Putted extremely well with a Happy Putter today and it's staying in the bag for a few more rounds.
  13. Solid day on the course, but definitely could have been better. Shot 79. Highlight of the round was getting birdie on a hole that in over 100 rounds I had never birdied before. The par 5 10th at Whitepath Golf Course is only 531 yards but requires the most precise tee shot ever if you want to go more than 6 iron off the tee box. I took it safe with the 6 iron, it goes downhill to a pretty tight fairway but being down the mountain it goes a long way if you hit it in the short grass. I then hit a mammoth 3 wood and found myself with a short pitch shot to set up a 5 foot birdie putt that I drained. Happiest golf moment of my life, this hole has terrorized me for 16 years and I live 10 seconds from the tee box so it's always just laughing at me daily. I've shot under par on the back multiple times, birdied the hole before and after, but that hole is the Bermuda Triangle of golf. Today, I conquered it! It quickly became the second happiest golf moment of my life on the next hole, a par 3 that's almost 150 but plays 118 going down the mountain again. I hit one pin high, had almost 10 feet left for birdie. But my 6 year old nephew hit his driver inside of me and had a chance at his first birdie and par, but settled for a three putt bogey. Still such an awesome experience.
  14. Had a Jekyl and Hyde round today. Only had one chance at birdie on the front, then shot -2 on the back. My normal shot shape is a push draw but everything started straight today and then had my draw. Walked back over to my house after the round to get some more shots in and still couldn't get the ball started to the right, hopefully it fixes itself overnight!
  15. I've played out at Nob North a couple times, was thinking about coming back over soon for another round. Welcome to the forum!
  16. I used to do reviews for Rukket, they make amazing products! I have a few of their baseball items now that I'm coaching little league and they are equally as great!
  17. Would love to upgrade my RTX3 to the new ones! Thanks for posting!
  18. I'm very interested in hearing about your experience. I want to get fit for new wedges and do a proper gapping session to make sure I have what I need. I've been considering the Roswell PGA Superstore as well as Club Champion.
  19. I play the LZ 6.0 in my irons and soon to be delivered wedges. I was fit to them and have been more than pleased. They feel amazing, my dispersion is unreal, and I love the ball flight I get out of them. I also have the Handcrafted LZ for my fairway wood and driver that I plan on trying out tomorrow if the weather allows it.
  20. Just bought one here last week. Guy even called me to make sure he had the exact measurements I wanted. Top notch service! https://ebay.us/O52h6z
  21. Welcome! I'm in Augusta a few times a year, might have to get a round in some time. I've played Bartram Trail and next on my list is Champions Retreat.
  22. Welcome! I agree, Zoysia is by far my favorite fairway. The only course I've played in Nashville was Gaylord Springs.
  23. Yeah I understand that for sure. There's so many apps that provide free video calling now that if you ever wanted to change you could. When I was nearing the end of my time with corporate Verizon the flip phone as we know it was being phased out and replaced with "smart" 4G flip phones.
