50-54-58..may boot the Rbladez AW or keep it depending on the gaps I see. This way I get to keep the 4i in full time rather than have 50* and 52* wedges

I could never be a feel player like that. I'm far too analytical, which is great for a software engineer, probably not great for golf though. As I've said before, my rangefinder has become a required staple for me...

I am a feel player, it is just that I have gained yardage, and not spent time practicing it, my 30 to 50 yards it nowhere near as sharp as I would like. However, I do not need this distance like I used to either. I used to be 40 yards left everytime and not now.

  5. I'm officially done voting. Was a blast. I doubt I'll win but I did what I could. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, hopefully there's a RBZ in your future. Congrats to the winners, can't wait to see the results!

  9. Bridgestone B330RX balls came in yesterday and look very yellow. Not sure I can get out to play this weekend, but hopefully will report soon how they play and compare them to a few others (ProV1x, 20XI-S, B330, Maxfli Tour)

There are courses that don't allow yellow balls? lol, I hadn't even considered it...

    3. Kanoito

      Kanoito

I think 90% of courses in Germany don't allow yellow balls, since range balls are yellow and they want to avoid accusing you of using range balls LOL

    4. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

No yellow balls, no pop tarts, why do you live there again?? ;)

  10. Went to the range to practice some drills my new swing coach taught me. The ground was all dirt, so the slightest "fat" in a swing was extremely noticeable. Can't wait until I get this new swing down!

What will be will be guys. No sense to be sleepless over something like this. Three very nice prizes - I'm messed up and I've got 101 words in my entry so I get to sweat that out. And I have over 100 votes in the voting. No big deal - already a winner just by being a part of this community.

It's beyond painful. Last year it was 82Ëš on St Patricks day.....and we played golf! This year it's supposed to be our normal 34Ëš. We won't see the course until April.

  14. Sprained my right ankle on Saturday. Was told 2-3 weeks to recover, but I can walk as long as there's no pain, meaning I can still play golf with stack and tilt!

  15. With Tiger, Luke, Rory, and Phil all winning this year, it's going to be a fun Masters!

    1. Kanoito

      Kanoito

Definitely! Dang... I bench Tiger and GMac and look how they play...

    2. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

I know. I saw Tiger's putting at the Pro Am and thought it was going to be more of the same Tiger we've seen last year, so I replaced him with Dicky Pride/Bo Van Pelt, thinking they were playing well and may do something...

    3. Kanoito

      Kanoito

Now everybody is going to start Tiger on the team for the Masters

  16. My swing is starting to come around, but my short game is still in the toilet. Need to get to a pitch and putt and refigure out my distances.

    1. R.P. Jacobs II

      R.P. Jacobs II

WD,have ya tried the Tour Tempo 2, the short game/putting book or tones?..Seriously, it really tightened up my pitching/chipping & my putting....The best with it....

    2. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

I haven't because I have enough to work on right now, but I plan to once I'm more comfortable with my swing changes. My issue right now is 50 yards and in I have no idea what to hit anymore :). I just need to hit a bunch of shots at 7 and 9 o'clock to figure out my distances with my wedges

    3. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

Really wish I could get out more, but all I get is once a week + range sessions, so progress has been slow...

  18. Managed a game of winter golf today. After practicing with the orange whip, my swing went from fade bias to draw bias. Scores were probably half par, half triple. So many fat shots on soggy ground, it wasn't pretty

    1. JBones

      JBones

You really have to make a good swing when the ground is soggy. I don't put much stock in my rounds during the winter, I just try to hit as many solid shots as possible. You definitely can't take anything away from your putting, the green are just so nasty this time of year.

    2. Kanoito

      Kanoito

Lucky you. We got 0F right now outside, I wouldn't dare to hit anything besides my bed.

  21. Picked up a new TM Spider Putter from Golfbids.net! Ordered it heel shafted, 33". Tried it at the store the other day and was sinking everything.

    1. JBones

      JBones

Best putter I have ever had in my hands. I put a Super Stroke Ultra Slim on it as soon as I got it and it's almost an automatic make inside of 10'. I honestly don't think I've missed a single putt inside of 4' with it.

    2. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

Yeah, I can't wait, especially if the 5-6 putts I made in the store translate to the green. It was so easy to sink. I'm not going back to the jumbo grips I had before, so I may keep the stock grip or go with an Iomic

  22. One week until my Bridgestone fitting, two weeks until my club fitting...time can't go fast enough

    1. GolfSpy Tim

      GolfSpy Tim

curious, why do a ball fitting first? I just was fit into new clubs, so now I need to do a new ball fitting

    2. GolfSpy WD

      GolfSpy WD

It's not ideal I agree. The wait for the club fitting at Ace of Clubs was 6 weeks out and I can't tell Bridgestone to reschedule their fittings :). I'll actually get ball recommendations at both fittings and go with whichever ball is recommended after the second fitting. The Bridgestone fitting is as much for the review as anything else

  23. Why oh why do I wind up working 18 hour days right before the contest starts? Hopefully I'm not too late

    1. GolfSpy WD
