  1. Happy to see this thread get a bump. I know we didn't have quite as many tests this last season and we had a pretty significant change in staff on the forum, but truly believe we did a great job selecting and getting need testers involved as well as some experienced testers to help those first timers. We take a good amount of time and discussion for each Selection to ensure we are doing right by the community with those selections.
  2. It's amazing how time of day, routine or just mental fatigue/awareness can impact normal motion and more. I am a big morning person. Up early, feel great and can get moving quickly. I have always played my best golf then. Make me play late in the day or practice and I'm useless. My body just doesn't react well or at least the same way it does in mornings.
  3. I'm going with Finau. Tall, long reach and altho seems super nice i think could make some great take downs.
  4. Not entirely sure if this will work out or not, but looks like I will have a free day on the 14th here. I think it will be too far, but I put out a message to Takomo golf to see if I can do a site visit and do a little interview. Hoping I can get a drive there or make something work... hopefully. Regardless I'll keep all of you notified!
  5. Glad he has a new home with you and your family. My condolences for everything that is going on, can't even imagine. Looks like an amazing dog!
  6. Whats the grip? That seems like a long wait.
  7. Not sure when I will get a chance to give this one a watch, but don't want to miss out on posting it regardless!
  8. Considering most putters are at 2-4 degrees yes, that is a lot!
  9. Normally no. The odd time I do, but it is rare. For install it is about 50-60 hours of work to complete, then the event starts and for this one it is 10 days of 4 games per day. 8:00 12:00, 16:00, 20:00, which means we start at 5:30 each morning and end our days at 23:00. Here in Finland we are at a sports school in the middle of nowhere. Closest store is 5km away so we eat, sleep and work within the same complex. Some other events there is a day or half day that is slow, but for areas I want to sight see I will normally book off a couple days before or after the event to do such.
  10. I've never really played Bridgestone to be fair. A few times I've found one and put it on play later, however I've always gravitated towards other golf balls.
  11. Next up Bridgestone! https://mygolfspy.com/bridgestone-tour-b-x-review-2022/
  12. Agree, I guess what I am trying to say is that wouldn't the effect be similar with both or trying to achieve a similar result, just with two slight different methods?
  13. Only a few weeks till Christmas!! anyone getting excited for some hopeful golf gear?
  14. Isn't this very similar to what Evnroll did with the really offset putter? Or at least the same concept in terms of trying to achieve getting your hands through the ball?
  15. 2.5 days into install here in Finland. Done roughly 48ish hours of work in that time. Games start tomorrow and still another full day ahead. We normally get 5 days for install, this event we get just around 3.5. All has gone well thankfully so we are on track to finish on time, with no all nighter, but it's been a grind. 45 teams here for this event (boys and girls) with countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Qatar, Mongolia who have some players who have never played curling in their life as well as Scotland, Sweden and Canada all trying to earn spots into the world championship A group.
  16. So hard to say, truly. We have a great thread called Shaft Hack: Otto Phlex which I would highly recommend. It has turned into a lot of us trying much lighter and softer flex shafts with various profiles to mimic the super expensive autoflex. Sounds like something with a slightly stiffer tip section may be okay? Have you tried the Motore F1? Another shaft several of our members had a great experience with so could be worth a look?
  17. Altho have to echo all the above. I can day I have used a Evenflow Black in mine with good success. It is a ping crossover which don't label as driving iron, but that is in reality what it is. I would add length of shaft should be a priority. Ping make the settle shafted crossovers shorter and in the newest version all the shafts are shorter than they were and I do feel mine is a little on the long side.
  18. https://mygolfspy.com/golf-ball-quality-awards-2022/ Ball Lab has taken off and grown a lot this year with a wider range of high end, DTC and other balls tested. Check out the quality awards and let us know what you think!
  19. That's fair. There is one I can get for about 500 which isn't bad. I have friends who would want stuff done with their clubs and i would charge a case of beer or something so in time i would break even!
  20. An update to the previous article. https://chromeunboxed.com/chromebooks-awesome-golf-simulator-update-bug-fixes/
  21. Anyone have a specific brand of golf ball that seemed to last longer than another? Not so much relevant now, but the golf balls that lasted me the longest on course were some of the older Nike RZN blacks. It really is a golf ball that I miss and really enjoyed playing. I had several last 27 plus holes... since then Tour Response has been a ball that seems to stay in play for longer before being lost.
  22. Along the lines of this, how many of you have your own loft/lie machines so you can adjust or tweak your own lofts? Or have you done this yourself and are comfortable doing so?
  23. Glad you were able to find something that works for you! Hope it works out and be sure to let us know as well!
  24. It my head it should. A range ball is going to spin more and have slower balls speeds so it should be a difference.
