  1. On the range whether practicing or warming up I’m picking two targets to call the fairway.  Trying to keep it between the two.  On the range you can lay a blanket over 98% of them.  My shot is either a straight ball or a little fade with all clubs.  My course driver ball is a GIANT block slice- like a fairway over it off the course.

  2. Hey y’all.  Been a couple years since I’ve been active here but trying to get back.  In my hiatus from MGS I didn’t get better.

I’m probably not alone but who struggles from the range to the course?  I used to be pretty good, and still am usually, but I have MAJOR driver issues (tee ball in general).  I can pound driver on the range and never miss one and walk to the first hole and hit 14 balls that never smell the fairway.  It’s maddening.  Have gotten lessons for the same thing to happen.  It literally is costing me 10-12 shots per round and I’ll shoot 85 with the trouble.  Anyone know a good psychiatrist?

  3. OK.  So I just went through the process, paid my fee and got my results.  All I got were two head brand/models.  No loft.  No shaft flex.  How is this supposed to be so helpful as to be "revolutionary"?  I love MGS, but this is disappointing.

It says very clearly that shaft options will be available in 2019. Go hit the clubs it selected for you though, im gonna bet you won’t be as dissapointed

  4. It's rare I use it. I would like to use it more bc I hit mine pretty well. Ping G25 but it's rare I have 250 into a hole. I hit it great off the ground but miss it a little too often off the tee but if I have a par 5 with around 250 left I'm licking my chops

Then I'm in as well! Do everything left handed except for hit a baseball and a golf ball. I also kick right footed which is weird.

My dad was a big sports nut so he loved the idea of me being a lefty but when it came to hitting stuff he only knew how to teach me as a righty.

  6. I got one used on craigslist. I was looking for a face balanced putter and it fit the bill. Highly recommend getting one.

I'm pretty sure I bought one about a week after that post lol. I've been rolling it for a bit now. Still like it. I put a superstroke counter balance on it for a little more weight.

Now if someone could read all my putts I'd be in business.

  7. 83 today...driver was left and right. Everything but middle. Didn't hit a fairway until 16, which I birdied. Only one lost ball with the driver but put myself in ugly spots. Usually scramble well with irons but those were right all day...wedges were good though!

  8. I just got a pair of Adiboost 3 that are awesome. Well worth the price in my mind.

Except should have gone a size larger. Will probably post these in the classifieds next week.

  9. I actually hit golf balls today!!! First time hitting a ball all year! weather has been fine, just haven't really wanted to play. Have a work tournament tomorrow and a golf trip in 3 weeks so I figured I should at least hit some balls. Hit them pretty well. Maybe I should take 7 months off more often!

  10. I still haven't even played this year. Weekend weather hasn't been awful but no desire to play. I haven't had the bug this year. Usually by now I'm 2-3 tournaments in but I haven't picked a club up. Something is wrong with me

  11. We play a lot of bingo bango bongo and we've started playing quarters. Everyone flips to determine who is on teams or if you're playing alone. Can play with 3 or 4 people. If you're alone and win the hole you get more points.

  12. Basically just Newton's Third Law of Motion. Ground pushes on the tee with the same force the driver imparts to it.

Greatly depends on the tee interacting with the ground. Is the ground in front of the tee soft or firm? Let's assume the driver exerts the same amount of force on the tee with each swing.

If firm relative to driver force on the tee, then the ground pushes back on the tee and sends it backwards

If soft relative to driver force on the tee, then the ground gives way to the driver force on the tee and flies forward.

There are many more complicating factors besides that (such as were on tee the driver might make impact) but that is the simplest explanation.

My preferred tee flight is when the tee rebounds off the group and pops straight up. I always imagine holding my follow through and lazily extending my hand to catch the tee on the way back down. Tee goes back into the pocket and then pimp walk off the front of the tee box.

Duh! Everyone knows it's all about Newton's 3rd Law of Motion!
