  1. from internet search (https://forums.golfwrx.com/topic/1486776-apex-cf16-bounce-specs/) Apex CF16 Bounce Specs: PW, .120, 9 deg bounce, 45 deg loft AW, .110, 8 deg bounce, 50 deg loft
  2. Was outside most of day. Turned on golf tournament on my tv and saw Bryson sink the putt to win. Pretty impressive. 2X winner this year already. Going to be fun watching him rest of year.
  3. So I know we all have our own methods for improving our golf games. I guess for me I would further grow my home practice areas. The more I practice mechanic's & ball striking at home, the more effective my outdoor range practice is and over two seasons of doing that routine my golf scores are lower ~2 strokes lower per round average. So I would take the 3k and spend it on simulation & launch monitor/ video setup in my home golf room. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  4. Tournaments I plan to game ProV1x or Snell MTBx.... And since I always get curious after reading ball reviews its a solid bet I will buy many brands to test. I say every year I won't but I do :) . Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. Nice. I love Byron Morgan putters. Salty grip looks good too. TheRollAbides :) Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  6. I rotate certain clubs pending course/conditions. Top of bag down to 9 iron is set but the pw,aw,sw,and lw will get changed out.
  7. It has been several decades since I could hit a 4 iron.... However I occasionally game a old Hogan blade 4 iron at certain tree lined courses I play. And I am not one to brag but my punch out game can be "Elite" as that CPG guy says [emoji16]. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. I grew up learning the game with two wedges, ~50 deg/PW & ~55 deg/SW. Both had narrow soles. For a lob type shot > If I had to hit extremely high soft landing type shot i learned to roll face wide open to achieve. Pending turf/ground conditions combined w/carry needed determined if I would attempt the shot. I think at on time I could pull a flop off with a nine iron (what we call pw/gw today regarding loft). I think it boils down to one's skill and if they have the type sole design with the club-head (non sw/lw) to try. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  9. I really enjoyed this article and the explanations of the results. Like many that have played a long time, definitely in era's without launch monitor and other modern technologies, we discovered through trial/error how tee height affects ones ball flight and ability to hit certain clubs. I definitely hit ball further with ball tee'd higher. Additionally, I remember how I learned that I did not have mechanics/swing speed/strike angle to launch a 3 wood off the deck but I could hit one off the tee. This article/test helps me correlate or better understand my history with certain lofted clubs and launch angle and benefits from teeing ball certain height.
  10. Received mine. Got the red one. Pretty impressive little cover. Already Received questions about it. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  11. Another close one by JS. Really was pulling for him. Two good showings back to back. Think the game part is good enough to win. Still have to wonder how close mentally he is to finishing the deal. I do think its close but when its mental that part can span a several tournaments until the break-thru. DB finished awesome. Will be fun watching him at Masters this year.
  12. saw that. I should have read all the post closer . thx
  13. Is the 40-65 yards a particular distance you have on the course and that is why you practice those distances? I have a certain course that I know pretty well, play position golf on that course alot and try to have my approach shots certain distances based on past success. On that courses range, I practice to particular distances a lot pre and post round.
  14. A few years ago I decided to use my "training" clubs in my golf net for my swing drills/ mechanics training. I switched back to hitting my gamers only at the driving range and worked on ball flight, distance control and working the ball. That approach has worked for me and greatly simplified my practice and has allowed me to maximize practice efficiency. As others have mentioned pro's/con's regarding either approach.

  17. I am in the club too..... :( Four decades of golf and no 1 ever recorded on the card. Oh well, one day :) Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  18. Do the instructions list butt diameter sizes the grip supports? I.e, .580, .600, etc. 2nd What about rules while in play? If it comes loose in middle of round are you able to fix the grip? Is this permissible in tournament under USGA rules? I do like the concept and the grips look nice. Probably will improve over time. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  19. I would have never believed anyone if they told it would be 31-9 going into 4 quarter. Very much know that Chiefs like to come from behind but wow just totally not expecting this. Good game. And this fourth quarter kinda reminds me of a scenario like a seasoned veteran is in the lead in a golf tournament and needs to hold on, because a hot young gun is capable of going low down the stretch.... Had get golf analogy in here somewhere.
  20. Wow. Bucs are for real. Nice run.
  21. Very good game so far, funny commercials but not sure about that 1/2 time show .
  22. This is a great review imo. I got one after reviewing this thread, MGS recent write up article & reviewing other MGS discussions. Very happy so far. I had previously been using Perfect Putting putting mat but the Birdie Ball roll a little more true imo. Sent from my SM-N960U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  23. So I am not familiar with the version in which you experienced the tear. The one I have is the acustrike, looks a little different. No tears or rips after hundreds of strikes. But I still don't like mine (mainly the feel at impact). Just too fake like I am hitting off a surface I should not be hitting off of..... Not expecting any artificial product to feel exactly like real turf but even some of the more quality mats don't feel bad hitting off of. The acustrike imo does not remotely feel good. But I guess its durable. Hope you can get yours replaced. Good luck.
  24. I like your style. Question. Is the Adams Tight Lies one of the good ones (originals) or is it a newer version? And while I like your irons, I do hope the MacHogans return .
