Sorry I just saw this. Yes I took the day off to play golf. It was great.

I am replacing my lost or stolen CBX2 50°. Also my wife got me a nice Sunday bag for my birthday, so I un-retired some of my old clubs.

I don't have the fairway but I do have an E521 hybrid and it is a very good club. However the general consensus on the E521s is that you should only get it if you do not try to shape your shots. With the Houdini sole your ball flight will be straight. It is difficult if not impossible to shape shots with the E series. The C521 is a better bet if you like to shape your shots.

I have no problem with your preferences, but I wouldn't call any of them "cool", except maybe Cobra. The rest are pretty buttoned up corporate brands to me. The exact opposite of cool.

I find guys who wear golf attire all the time amusing. For me golf attire is strictly for golf. But then, I am no country club player. If I was, maybe I'd change my tune.

I just recently started embracing the wide brim and bucket hats. Typically I wear ball caps, but as mentioned, they really don't protect your ears and neck.

So weird. I have some bonus money burning a hole in my pocket. But when I started thinking about what new shiny toys I want I can't think of anything. My bag is practically new top to bottom. And the items that are not new I don't want to replace yet. Besides, I am usually the guy who procrastinates on a purchase and then I pull the trigger about a week before the next model is announced. So I don't want to do that again.

Though I probably wouldn't buy one myself, if given an option to get one for free I'd probably look at the Sim2 based upon all of the hype. Shaft would be either a Project X (not sure which) or UST Mamiya since those are the ones I know and have in my bag already.

I just got a velcro bag tag for hanging your glove on. It was actually worth it because my BagBoy bag only has a really small strip that I use for my putter cover. Now I can stick my glove and putter cover on my bag when I am ready to putt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
