How much do you want? Which neck?
-
What year are those? Edit: nevermind. 2017

I'm sure I could it hit. It's much larger than a 3wd. I can see it being a very safe tee club. That being said, I am amazed that he played a 47.75" driver in a major. These guys are good.

No fairways?
-
I shot a 76* today! The * is because some idiot played my ball on one hole and I didn't notice until I got to the green. I put down par + handicap for the scorecard. Chances are, I would have bogied it anyway, but the round will forever have an * by it. Had 3 birdies and only one double on the card. Hit 10 GIR and, I think, 7 fairways. My best round in a LONG time.

I can agree with that, but popularity doesn't make a major.
-
What "underlying basis" does The Masters have that the PGA doesn't?
-
Why shouldn't it be a major? I mean, other than the fact that you don't want it to be? I never have understood the attempts to shun the PGA Championship. As was mentioned earlier, it's the strongest field of any major championship. That, alone, is plenty of reason to keep it a major.

First attempt at re-gripping

No dumb questions either. That was actually a good one. I cracked one or two when I was starting out.- 61 replies

Either will work for regrouping. The first is better for shaft pulling.- 61 replies

The twist method for the remote is cumbersome, but it's not the end of the world. I never had the magnetic method so take that for what it's worth.

Probably headed down tomorrow night and back Tuesday afternoon/evening. Anyone got room for one on Sunday, Monday, or first thing Tuesday morning?

First attempt at re-gripping
puttnfool replied to AmishJason's topic in Club Making/Repair & DIY Projects
Probably need a little more pressure than that. I usually start at 60ish psi and go from there. Sometimes, thicker/firmer grips need a bit more pressure. If you're using cords, be very careful not to give enough pressure to break the cords.- 61 replies

Definitely need something to protect the graphite shafts. Post a picture of what you're working with.- 61 replies

Shot a 43 (+8) today on a short, but tight 9 hole course. I did it with 4 double bogies and 5 pars. It was proverbial feast or famine. Three of the doubles were the result of a ball in the water. Not too upset with it. I know before starting there that the course is a bit difficult.

Got it! Thanks...

Hook me up with the Broke 80 and the Veteran, please. Thank you.
-
How do we get them? "Broke 80" "Veteran" etc...
-
I feel your pain. I took a quad today.
-
Same score different day, but things seem to be moving in the right direction. I shot another 83 (+13) on yet another course. This time, I had 1 double and 1 quad (after hitting my 3rd OB on a par 5). Greens were still recovering from aeration so the 30 putts I had today was nothing short of spectacular. I even had two 3 putts (both from long range) which means I had eight 1 putts. None of those were really long which tells me that my short game was on today. If I can keep my short game in gear, get the greens to grow in, and eliminate a couple of wayward shots, I can sense the 70's coming soon.

This is true. This is definitely the instant gratification generation. I don't think any of them know what it means to work hard and struggle through adversity.
