  1. I use The Grint for an official handicap only. I don't care much for the real time tracking. I use GolfPadGPS for real time tracking. It has a free and a paid ($20/yr) version. The handicap doesn't come with the free version, does it?
  2. 1st hole of the day? Not unless it's a scramble. It says it's hole #8.
  3. I'll keep you in mind if we make the trip. Any courses you'd recommend?
  4. Do we have any Spies in the Big Sky area? I'm leaning toward a short trip up that way and figure I'll get at least one round in while I'm there.
  5. Had to be either the drive on 7 or the 3wd, 2nd shot on 10. The drive was a little down wind with a right to left push... perfect for that hole. The 2nd shot on 10 was directly into the wind and I got lucky when the 3wd caught the ball a bit low on the face and came out hot. It cut through the wind nicely and rolled up to about a yard shy of the green. Chipped up with the putter and tapped in for my 2nd birdie of the day.
  6. I couldn't do it. Currently, I have 10+ brands in my bag. No way I could get down to 1.
  7. Here's a free bump. Don't load this deal up if you've ever considered this unit. I love mine.
  8. Looking for something in the 4.5 or even 4.0 range ("Ladies" flex). Preferably around 44.5" or longer final playing length for the driver shaft. I'm not too worried about the length on the iron shaft. I could make it for anything from a 5 iron down to 8 iron and be satisfied. I don't care what tip is on the driver shaft because I'll replace it if necessary, but a TM tip would be a bonus. Not sure what's out there other than some PX Evenflow Greens. I'm sure there are others in the range, but I've never been in this end of the market before. Hoping not to spend too much for this experiment. Not worried about cosmetic shaft wear as long as there's no damage.
  9. Either my drive on a short par 4 to pin high left (made par) or the 3rd shot to save par on another par 4. Hit it off a tight lie to about 4' on a green that was running fast away.
  10. Today? I cut the corner perfectly on a short par 4. Almost got it to 300y. Yeah, I squandered it and came out with a bogey.
  11. Yesterday, it would have been the 50ish yard GW to <1' to seal a birdie on a long (550ish yard) par 5.
  12. Can I get an amen? I have used iron covers for years and they never (ok, rarely) cause undue delay. Not sure what the gripe is about them.
  13. Just an amazing performance so far by the 17 year old. Would be amazing to see her pull it off. Highly unlikely, but I'd love to see it happen.
  14. Not sure which other forum you're referring to, but I'd be down for an outing in TX, too. I'm in OKC, but something in between Dallas and Houston would be doable. Heck, even Houston would be doable with enough lead time.
  15. If a Central US location is used, then I'd think I could definitely make it happen. OK is fairly close to central and I could likely drive to anywhere that would fit that description. I'm all in!
  16. Well, I remember my last back to back birdies now! I did it today! Birdied a par 4 after an offline drive, then a 5wd to 12'. Hit a knockdown wedge from 106 on the 2nd to about 6' and buried the putt. Love that feeling.
  17. Awesome! I don't remember my first back to back birdies. It doesn't happen that often though. I did 3 in 4 holes a couple of years ago. The round was a shitshow, but those 4 holes will not be forgotten until Alzheimer's sets in.
  18. I Played the 550M/C combo set split at the 6/7 for a long time. Loved those clubs. Sold them because I didn't think I'd ever want a blade again and regret it.
  19. First time I played with my Alphard ewheeled cart, the guy I was playing with was carrying his bag and riding a mini-Segway. I'm not sure there is a better setup or there. Could have saved a couple of bucks if I'd seen that a few months earlier. Need a link to that YouTube video, too.
  20. Have not tried it. Love my Srixon irons. Have no doubtdriver is great, too.
  21. Rainy here in DFW and back home in OK this Memorial Day. Was hoping to get a round of golf in, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards.
  22. Show me the side of ball where it says "Srixon XV".
