    Hi Spies,
I've updated my main post with the first impression and aesthetics sections of my review. I'm doing my best to dive head first and address the elephant in the room, check out the video of testing the Allan and my DF3 in PXG's Zero Torque Tool included in the first impression section.

Been crazy busy at work since I got back from vacation so haven't been on here much, but did get two rounds in while away.
First round was at Gamble Sands, which I think takes top spot for favorite course in Washington for me away from Wine Valley. The course design fits the landscape perfectly, it's a great combination of forgiving for shots that are slightly bad, and punishing for shots that are very bad. Also one of those courses that I think I could play much better the second time around knowing how the slopes will play around the greens. Driver hasn't been working for me lately, and that continued through the first few holes, but I turned things around after a hot dog at the turn and played the final 7 holes at even par to finish with an 81.
Second round was at Desert Canyon, which couldn't have been more different than Gamble Sands. GS felt like a natural course, while everything at Desert Canyon felt artificial. It was very well maintained, but the layout felt contrived and the course felt out of place. Didn't help that I was playing poorly (perhaps due to fatigue from a fairly active vacation). Still, a week with two rounds of golf is a good one for me!

A bit of backstory; I received a couple of these as a Christmas gift from my son - one in a L the other in a XL ( he couldn't remember which size I wore). I tried them over the winter here in Fl. and didn't care for the glove (note: there was little to no difference between the L and XL). It had stiff, scratchy feel especially compared to my FJ or PGASS gloves so, into the spare golf bin they went. My hands sweat a lot and this past summer didn't help with most days being in the 108-112 heat index. This is what my gloves look like after a doz. rounds - it doesn't matter whether their FJ, Titleist or the PGASS gloves.

I just recently bought 6 pair of the PGASS gloves which are my preferred glove now (superior to FJ and 6 pair for $50.) but I decided to hold off opening the packs since they would look like the glove in the previous photo until it cools down a bit here in Fl.

For giggles I decided to temporarily use the Claw gloves. As mentioned previously there seems to be little to no difference in size between the 2. Not sure if it's a manufacturing/design issue or they L was just mismarked.  Also, I'm not sure which model since the tag only shows the size. I like the top side of the glove since it is mesh and it reminds me a bit of FJ's rain glove, although the rain glove does have a softer feel. My issue is the palm side which has a non breathing surface. It's still a bit scratchy, but at least I can wash it. Hopefully, it will hold up til the temp/humidity decreases.

Ok, so same as Samsung Watch.  Good to know.  It works, and on a course you know it's not an issue.  On a new course, I still refer to my phone for the hole layout and to get distances (bunkers, streams etc...).  Thank you for the information!

Guessing thats a shaft availability issue - a friend got his new driver in about 3 weeks, but went with a stock shaft option.  Also, could be because your club head is backwards 😉

Coming soon, the long term review of the L.A.B. DF3., aka Lab rat. Within the next week or two, I will hit the 50 round mark with the DF3.  I will then compare and contrast it with the previous 50 round data I have with the Evnroll.  Burning questions to be addressed
    1.  Am I seeing the same results as I did earlier in the test or has it regressed?
    2.  Is the L.A.B. DF3 still in the bag and if so why Or why not.  This will include the metrics I set pretesting to determine if it goes in the bag.  Do they still hold true after 50 rounds of play.
    3.  Did I see long term improvement in my putting with the DF3 and if so, where.
But, I also want to hear from you.  What questions would you like to see answered or clarified

I played a round on Friday which was my DF3's first real round (not counting the scramble) last weekend.

It was a good day putting, and the Arccos stats back that up. I carded four birdies on the day and the putts were 12, 8, 20, and 27 feet.  The putter was clearly the hottest club in the bag and I felt like I could make anything.

Up until getting it out on the course, I wasn't sure that the DF3 was going to be able to give the Mezz Max a real run for the primary spot in my bag. But, there does seem to be an extra bit of LAB magic in the DF3. I felt extreme confidence over mid-range putts that the ball was going to go exactly where I set up, and I found aiming the DF3 square to be easy both with and without using the line on my ball.
It was an impressive start, and I can see why so many spies loved it during the official member test!

SG stuff can help you understand that many times a 3-putt isn't really caused by bad putting, but by a poor approach.  If you hit a wedge to 40 or 50 feet very often, you are going to 3 putt a few times, and the fault lies with the wedges.

Better understanding the Strokes Gained concept has also helped my mental game and approach to golfing as well. Yes, a 3-putt is frustrating, and can cost you as much as 1 stroke, but you can make that up in the aggregate with other putts that happen to drop (for example, over my last 10 rounds I average 3.5 3-putts per round, but am at -0.5 SG Putting compared to a 10-handicap).
Losing 2.1 strokes due to penalties off the tee though is what really kills me - I can have a subpar day putting, or chipping, or with my irons, and still score well if the rest of my game is decent, but if I can't get the ball in play off the tee then I need to play out of my mind in the rest of my game to have a chance to go low.
Of course, these are all the ramblings of a 12-handicap who hasn't yet broken 80, so take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Folks would do well to study the Strokes Gained concepts, and data compiled.  The difference between two "levels" of golfer are generally 65% full swing shots, and 35% short game and putting.  Remember, you can lose 1 stroke by 3-putting, but a tee shot OB loses you  2 strokes.  Really, though, the way to shoot lower scores is to do an honest evaluation of your own game, figure out which in areas your performance is substandard, based on your overall level of play.  Then you can work to improve that area.  If you're threatening 80, you're a pretty decent player, a single "weak" area in your game might be the only place you need to improve.  But a blanket recommendation, "improve your short game", is typical golf publication click-bait, you'll see it regurgitated once every couple of years..
