GolfJunkie302
Driver maybe every few years. Haven't replaced my irons in five years. Really need new ones. I've had my hybrid and 3 wood for about two years. Wedges every other year. I have six or seven putters that I rotate whenever I start putting poorly (which is every other round). I have a knack for getting free putters. I have paid a grand total of $45 for all my putters, which include a SC, Bettinardi, PING, TM, Nike, and a Cleveland (courtesy of MGS). russtopherb
I've upgraded too often to count, to my own detriment. I'd say driver every season, and irons every 2 seasons or so. Wedges and putter have been pretty constant though, as has my 3W. And you'll never get my HeavenWood out of the bag, ever! Mbertaut
I was out of the game for about 5 years until last Summer (2017). At that point I got the lead out of my butt and took a hard look at my bag. Not bad clubs, but everything 10+ years old. Gave 'em all to my son and started over Aug 2017. Technology had come such a long way. Going to be Driver Shopping every 3-4 years I think, Irons no more than 5, wedges maybe 2 years, depends on how much I play (my wedges get a ton of work, I miss a LOT of greens!), and I don't change putters unless they break, so my new Odyssey will be with me a looooong time I suspect. Pharm Boy
I am currently going through my bag upgrading my setup. Like a lot of you I found that my stuff was outdated or the wrong fit. I had taken some time off and was not playing regular. Since I have started playing weekly I noticed that I could really benefit from some new technology. Recently got fit and ordered a new set of irons. Went with the TaylorMade M4's. Just waiting on the UPS guy! tony@CIC
Isn't replacement dictated by the amount of practice and play except for those that just like new stuff. bens197
This year was a total revamp. New irons, driver, 3w and wedges. I'm contemplating going further and adding a Sigma G Tyne H and a G 2h because, well, because.
