Since many courses have removed their flag sticks you might want to check to see if they are on a pin location app called ezlocator. This is a free app that runs on IOS not sure about other systems - including desktop. Here's a pic of our #1. The legend: The depth of the green is 30 paces (upper right number), The hole is located 11 paces in from the front and 9 paces from the right side (lower right numbers). The hole is located 4 paces shy of the center (lower left number).

I'm fortunate that my course has a pin sheet that they give out. I got my laminated one at the beginning of last season so it's always on my cart. But a good find Tony.

Matt so they never move the pins? Or is it a blank sheet and then they tell you where they set the pins?

Our group was just commenting today on the sadistic nature of the grounds crew that sets the pin locations. Name the most difficult part of the green and they'll put the pin there.

They have every hole divided into 9 sections and the pin position number is on a board at the first tee. Kind of like this:7sQVc6LCIAAvgitiMPrGK81I_02S46a-U2zLs_OG

Played a new course on Sunday that has removed all the pins, but their scorecard shows pin positions similarly to what's described above and they tell you which pin position to look for at the clubhouse. It's not a bad way to do it. Accompanied by the SkyCaddie SX400, I was able to get pretty accurate yardages and get a few shots closer to the hole than if I were just firing at the middle of the green all day.
