Pisa Putter (Kickstarter)

Sweet Jeebus. You guys want a laugh at an AMAZINGLY bad video? I genuinely can't say whether the tech is good or bad (I mean, it sounds ridiculous on nearly every level - negative 8° putter face? But... Why?), but the video is so hilariously bad I needed to show someone who would understand why it's so bad.

Also, I wonder if this putter is USGA-Approved? It's hard to tell from the video.

Do yourself a favor and watch a thoroughly (if mistakenly) entertaining video 😜

Ps - someone PLEASE buy this and do a full write-up. Please.

Isn't this very similar to what Evnroll did with the really offset putter? Or at least the same concept in terms of trying to achieve getting your hands through the ball?

This putter is about loft; the evnroll was about offset.  The claim of this putter is that it rolls the ball better.

Agree, I guess what I am trying to say is that wouldn't the effect be similar with both or trying to achieve a similar result, just with two slight different methods?

From what I recall the evnroll trainer was more about path.  When Guerin was at HQ and I happened to be there to talk to him, the discussion was more about how it also altered stroke length.   the Piza discussion is more roll centric.

No, but it can push the ball into the green and make its own divot on contact, lol.  Doesn't 8 degrees feel...like a LOT of downward angle?

Considering most putters are at 2-4 degrees yes, that is a lot!

I mean, it's fully funded so at least they'll get out into the wild. My putter has differing lofts at different points on the face due to SIK's DLT tech, but this is way way too extreme I think.

Yeah, but the DLT makes sense to me there, because it's 1-4 degrees. How far forward in your stance would you need to play the ball with -8 degrees in order to get the ball to not bounce directly into the ground? This just seems bonkers - very interested to see this thing demo'd by people who care more about putting than whether or not it's certified by the USGA (which, in case you didn't watch the video, it TOTALLY IS...lol)

That said: as a driver training aid that forces you to hit up—way up—on the ball, I could go for one of these.

EDIT: It's angle is sharper than the building it's named after:
