pozzit
Alright newish and ready to experiment. My current irons are playing 1/2" shorter then I prefer. 6i is currently 36". I have a spare 3i shaft that I do not use and was debating soft stepping to gain that extra half an inch. I also have added extensions to my irons in previous sets. I know soft stepping will make my irons slightly less stiff which if anything I need slightly stiffer compared to my last fitting. Help me learn what do you all think is best? GolfSpy_BNG
I say soft step and see what it’s like. I did it with a set of LZ shafts and didn’t notice a difference. You can always pull them and extend if it doesn’t work out. Another note from a club ho’ Soft stepped shafts are easier to sell than extended shafts for some reason. pozzit 1 Quote What is in my Ghost MGS anyday Maverick or Jones MyGolfSpy bag Driver: GT2 with an Aretera Alpha One Blue 55/4 shaft @ 44.75” or GD VF 5s @45” Fairway: F85 3 wood with a XPhplexx Agera X @ 42.5” F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" TSR2 7 wood shaft TBD Driving Iron: Rapture 2-Iron Irons: Apex TiFusion 4-PW 2* flat with PX Hazrdus Gen4 Silver 75s Wedges: JP Camber 48 & 55 shaft TBD Putter: 2024 Phantom 5.5 @ 34”
