I’d hit them all and see what works best. Might even find that that the combo isn’t the best way to go. Give them and some others a test. Better yet get fitted. Then you can try different shafts as well. Reiterate a lot that was already said on here….need to hit them to get an idea which is best. I have too many buddies that simply buy off rack and end up disappointed with their purchases. Clubs truly have become an investment. I pretty much view them like a car….a test drive is always a must. Head to your local Dick’s or Golf Galaxy and give them a workout. Or you can utilize the Utry program via Global. A fitting will give you the best information but price is sometimes a limiter with those. Jakebrent8
What can I expect for a reasonable fitting cost? I'd rather not get fit from a retail associate at Dicks and don't have PGA or Golf Galaxy near me. There's a few academy places in my area that do fittings. It could simply be you hitting the clubs against each other and your current clubs to see how they perform with the various shaft options. Rotate through the clubs and shafts after a few shots to minimize swing adjustments. Look at both distance and dispersion patterns Jakebrent8 1 Quote Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: XCG7 Beta 15* w/Fujikura Fuel Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017
