Specifically looking at certified pre owned but want all opinions. TJ Hall Posted May 20 Share Posted May 20 I’ve only done CPO and have always had very good luck with them. Bought a few clubs and they were in fantastic shape, one even still had the plastic in the head. I’m a little leery that they don’t post actual pictures going anything less the CPO. Parshooter36 Posted May 20 Share Posted May 20 My experience its CPO is mint conditions. I bought a CPO driver a few years ago that still had the plastic on it. I typically buy very good condition from Global Golf, because it's cheaper and still usually in great condition. I do agree with @TJ Hall on the pictures though. 2nd swing takes pictures of the actual item which is much better, but they tend to be a bit more expensive as well. Marc1962 Posted May 20 Share Posted May 20 My experience was not very good. I feel they overstate condition. Maybe I have a higher standard. Would not purchase a used item for them again. Haile Posted May 20 Share Posted May 20 I have bought several clubs from GG. The condition and stated rating have been dead on. When it says mint, that's exactly what it came in as. I even bought one in good condition and that's what it was. Some scratches(probably from bouncing around in a bag), but that was about it. I wouldn't go lower than that. I did have a friend buy a value club. It performed fine, but looked like crap. He does not care. He saved a bunch of money and the club works fine. but me personally, I just wouldn't spend money on something that looked like that. It is weird that they don't have actual pictures. But it probably saves a ton of time on their end. They're like the walmart of golf clubs at this point. In fact, if I lose my ebay bid on Thursday, I'm going directly to them to purchase a club again. I also think these companies rewrap the heads, as my used like new warrior wedges had plastic on them. I would not have stated very good in one of my eBay listings. I would have listed it as well used. They told me everyone’s perception of what is very good can vary. They did refund in full but did not supply a return label. What difference does it make how many times I have posted. I’ve been on golf forums for many years and have come across more one time posters posting negative comments about things only to disappear than I care to count. Its why I phrased it the way I did after asking my question. Ad an update I ending up going with eBay. When I went to check out on global golf the condition rating went from CPO to Excellent and when I called to talk to someone it was an hour wait so I moved on. If you look at their rating system it goes from very good to value. There is no in between. Very good again was not very good. I buy and sell things all the time. I used real pictures and let the buyer decide. I have never had a buyer come back to me complaining about my description. What was sent to me was really not in very good condition.
