berkeleybob
Most club changes I’ve made have happened when I can figure out a specific issue, see a technological solution, and hopefully find a bargain of some sort. Depending on level of usage, I recall the Ping wedge designer on the forum community call recommending switching out wedges every year or two, and now I’m overdue. If I change a club or clubs it's due to when I see the need for it to improve something mine aren't providing. It could be due to any number of reasons though. What clubs are you playing or have changed? Are you having issues on the course or just want a newer set? Coulter
Welcome to the forum! I think you’ll love it. To answer your question though, whenever I get the itch to buy something new or I just really feel like a certain club/clubs will improve my performance. Rob Person 1 Quote I have a cobra rad speed driver, cobra fly z 3 and 5 wood, taylormade m1 irons (5-PW), Top Flite Gamer wedges (52,56,60), and odyssey white ice putter. When I’m playing to keep score I typically play the Maxfli Tour X. When just getting a round in with friends or scrambling I play whatever I might find on the course or might find at the bottom of my bag.

I had my PE2's for 33 years, my G410's for 3 years, and my current ZX5's for 4 years. Using new math, that has me replacing my clubs every 13 years. I'd likely still be playing the G410's but needed to get into composite shafts... so every 20 years wasn't too far off. Either way, I'm squarely in the +3 sigma region of the bell curve . berkeleybob, Rob Person and Matherly11 3 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Official Review) AI-One Milled Seven T CH (Official Review)
