Cstmptrs
I’m looking into doing sort of a self fitting because I’m a little bit too lazy and cheap to go and do it professionally what I’ve done so far is buy shafts I think are good for my swing speed and clubs that I think will be good for my handicap I’ve got my own grips and swing weight machine with them all hovering around a D1 swing weight is this a good weight for me? Is it all a comfort thing? I’m looking to see if anyone really cares about this stuff since it is a very small amount of weight we are talking? swing speed: 95mph shafts: KBS tour lite stiff heads : Srixon z585 (pw-6) mizuno jpx 921 hot metal (4 & 5) grips: golf pride tour wrap 2.0 14.5 Handicap Quote Driver: Taylormade sim 2 max 9.0 woods: Calloway maverick 3 wood 13.5 / Taylormade sim max 3 hybrid 19 all irons KBS tour lite stiff shafts and golf pride tour wrap 2.0 grips 4/5: Mizuno JPX Hot-metal P-6: Srizon Z585 Wedges 50, 56, 60 Titleist vokey s grind 10 degree bounce
GolfSpy_APH
The self fitting route is a rabbit hole and cycle Im glad I got out of. There are for sure golfers that can do it and do it well, but I probably spend a couple thousand in equipment I didn't need vs having just got fit and purchased the proper equipment in the first place. It's nearly impossible to tell you what should be good for you, every golfer is different and how they move the club even with general data. I swing faster than you. But found I prefer an 85 gram graphite iron shaft and it works best for me... I know plenty that swing the same as me and prefer 120 gram steel. Even if I fitting was to narrow down your choices I think it would be a good thing to do. There are too many options and too many rabbit holes to go down and get lost in. St least putting trust in a good fitter will allow a lot of those questions to be answered so you don't have to second guess yourself! Just my take. cnosil 1 Quote as of Nov 6, 2023 (Past WITB) Driver: Paradym TD w/ GD ADDI 6X Driver Shootout! The only way to know if the components and swingweight (which is kind of a meaningless thing) is for you to try the clubs. The swing weight and weight of the club is a personal thing. Some people are super sensitive and some can't tell the difference. If you are locked into what you have bought, just continue to make adjustments until you get what you like; that is why they make lead tape.
