release
This dynamic pricing came during the pandemic years directly from the managing group, but not every staff enforce the policy. It seemed everyone was following this practice after a few managing groups utilized this pricing tactic Now the pandemic round is over, for now. I see there are many holes in the tee time all over the region, some have wide open several tee times in a row. How can this be a strategy to maximize profit? Open tee time is never a good practice, because the tee time can not be stored and reuse in the future. It is a commodity, and cannot be inventoried. During the pandemic years, they should have just left the system instead of trying to reinvent it, Unless they expect it'll last forever. Now the trend seeking crowd has gone back to their previous activities, in the meantime, the retirees and the loyal groups of golfers are been squeezed out of their last dime. I know many, many of the golfers had changed their focus on recreation to other which won;t cost half a week of their grocery bill. With the high fuel cost, less traveling to golf than a decade ago. So are we going to see lowered green fees at the daily fee golf courses? We shall see about this when the numbers on their balance sheet tells them it is not working. Did you see more tee time available in your neighborhoods? Besides those who work for the golf courses and following the instruction of their books, do you think the dynamic pricing worked? Or you think it was a dumb move following the trend of airline and concert venues?

cnosil
I don’t see dynamic pricing being used for tee times in my area. we have the traditional weekday, weekend, twilight, etc. type pricing structure. Never changed before, during, or after the pandemic.
