Good morning Spies!
Up way earlier than expected but taking the time to get a few things done before daylight and while the house is still quiet.  Will be getting a pork butt on the smoker before too long and then plan on hitting the range this morning to work on a few things.  Wife wants to spend the afternoon together so the normal afternoon round will have to wait until tomorrow.  Happy to do it as she lets me golf whenever I want.
On the golf front..... my fitting case from Foreward Golf should be getting sent out this next week and I'm looking forward to documenting the remote fitting process and seeing what "prescription" they give based on the process.

I know it’s the good morning thread. But I will mention it again in the morning. Meeting my bio-dad today went absolutely wonderfully. Had a good long talk and it just flowed easy. Was super nervous, but that went away pretty quickly. Going to the ball game tomorrow and I can’t wait.

The Tl;Dr version is this. I did the ancestry dna kit in 2016. My brother also did his a year or so later. Didn’t really look much into it. 2022 came and got an email notification I had a new match on there. Never opened up those emails until then. It was my brother but it said half sibling. Found I had a complete different dad. Reached out to people on that side through there and through investigation on Facebook. Led me to now. Better write up if you want to read it is in the good evening thread on Wednesday.

Today I am meeting my biological dad. Kind of nervous kind of excited.  Kind of a lot of different emotions. No golf today then. Tomorrow we will be going to the St. Louis Cardinals game. So that’s going to really fun. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning spies! Hot again today for the Wild Bunch, but with some humidity (maybe 20%, but that is a lot for here) from the storms coming up the gulf coast of Mexico and Texas.  Was hazy yesterday on my ride (40 miles) and bloody hot. 108 when I got home. Not to let the heat get to me I refilled my water bottles and headed to the course to play 9 holes. My legs gave out after 7 and I came home. I saw another lady out there on the back nine. Normally it's just me and the occasional coyote  out there on the hot afternoons. Shoot the club house closes at 2. 
@Wheelieb My wife and I met her daughter some years ago in the same setting. It was awkward for me as I had no part in the equation. The two of them still keep in touch. 
@Bad Golfer That is so cool! I clipped the stick and the ball settled 3 inches left of the hole last week, but have yet to claim my first ace. Congrats. 

Good luck! My ex has known she was adopted her whole life, but hesitated about seeking out her biological parents for fear of upsetting the adoptive parents. Eventually she obtained non-identifying health information about the biological parents which triggered the search. It took a while (and the divorce was in between) but she finally found her mom (dad had passed away) and a couple of half-sisters. So my son has a couple of aunts now.
UPDATE: I wasn't sure if her mom had since passed away or not, but my son tells me she hasn't. So he now has another grandma and two aunts.

Not much going on here in the soggy bottoms. Had a quick walk about with a new family pet.. 

Told the family’s female leader.. That if the weather doesn’t change that we may need to get her a boat instead of the SUV she is wanting… Needless to say; the humorless highness didn’t find my statement funny. 
  With NO golf to offer sanctuary from the SHE being; I am  out an about running some errands. Somehow ended up stopping for  breakfast about 54.7 miles from the “ Dark Kingdom “… Had some very good fajita tips, hash browns, and “divorced eggs “ ( A man can dream 😇) ….

Good morning! Noon-O-one here, so not quite morning, but I still have coffee left, so I'm counting it! 
Work has been busy, but I'm tired from staying up with sick kids last night. I'm hoping I can get through the afternoon with no emergent things coming up, but Fridays are usually when everything crumbles. 
My son is the only kid who's feeling good, so I'm thinking about taking him to the course for 9 holes tomorrow. Otherwise I'll just be getting in some reps on the Exputt with the DF3!

Yes, but also no and yes. I think just being that person who likes to swing putters that I don’t ever get to makes this an issue. What would help with that is not swinging putters in stores.
