Testers Announced! Titleist T Series Irons

This is the third generation of T-Series Irons from Titleist since they moved on from the AP lineup. This generation of T-Seriers introduces two “new” irons to the lineup in the T150 (replacement for the T100S) and the T350. 
Here is a breakdown highlight of the series.
Titleist T100 - The most played iron on the PGA Tour there wasn’t much to change from the previous version. However Titleist worked to improve the feel, create tighter dispersion and updated the variable bounce sole. 

Titleist T150 - One of the “new” models the T150 retains the looks and progression that the T100 made but with a slightly thicker topline and slightly wider sole to create a more forgiving package while retaining improved ball speeds by an updated Muscle Channel.

Titleist T200 - A non-clicky backplate! However in all seriousness the T200 for 2023 is where some big improvements were made. With some updates to the topline and finish the T200 retains the same size as the previous version with what will likely be a more appealing look. Titleist have moved the speed boosting Max Impact Core closer to the heel and face of the golf club to improve sound and forgiveness. 

Titleist T350 - The replacement for the T300, the T350 comes in a package that matches the rest of the T-Series much better. It is a larger, more forgiving iron than the T200 and for Titleist is their Ultimate Game Improvement Iron. 

However most all of you know all that and are eager to hear if you were selected for testing!

**While Testers were selected for those as their main sets, Titleist is working with all of them to ensure they are fit properly. Meaning split sets are an option for each tester.**

I don’t collect putter covers but I do like having something other than the OEM cover.  I currently use the TaylorMade Spider X with the Swag Azelea Pink Concentric Skulls mallet cover.  Prior to that I used a Ryder Cup Team USA Hazeltine (2016) cover on my Scotty GoLo 3.   Just ordered a new putter so I’ll be searching for a new mallet cover in the next few weeks. 

Great trip for you and your son!   I did Southwest Ireland June of 2017.   Played Old Head, Ballybunion (Old), Waterville, Killarney Golf and Fish (Killeen), Tralee, Dooks and Dingle Golf Links.  Had the best time.   We stayed at the Pax House in Dingle and can’t say enough good things about it.  View from room attached along with a clip from Tralee.

Somehow missed this post with everything else going on this past weekend, but I just want to say 2 things:
1.  I can't think of a better person to lead this forum, Jamie your dedication to the forum, and the membership is beyond reproach. 
2. Every day I feel fortunate and honored to be a part of the great team that makes up the Forum Administrative Staff, and take pride in the forum membership we have.  I have said it before and I'll say it to whomever will listen to me (and to those that won't come to think of it)... this is the BEST DAMN FORUM ON THE WEB.  Bar NONE!

Its interesting to see the various takes on the new release from everyone! I watched the TXG (now club champion Canada) video on the new irons and it was really good information IMO - I would suggest checking the video out. 
I have never played Titleist irons, and never had the want to even try them, so I am the furthest from a "buy the brand" (look at my WITB, I rock 4 brands, 5 including the ball) - But the T100 and 150's have intrigued me. I admit some of it is the influence on the video above^ but what got me was the miss hits you'll see on trackman don't lose a lot of spin therefore the mishits aren't as punishing. 
I also think that it isn't really fair to say that a new club doesn't have innovation or that your blades from 1995 are better - What defines better? Distance, forgiveness, accuracy, turf interaction, less punishing on mishits, MOI changes.. I think that's why MGS has a bunch of different categories they test. Also, if you have played the same clubs for that long, know exactly what their feel is, exactly how far you hit a perfect shot, a thin shot, a fat shot etc - then hit 20 balls with the T100 7 iron and say "these suck", Idk - if that's a qualifier. 
I am excited to at least hit the new clubs. I think they look great, but it'll come down to feel and performance for me.

My advice would be to hold onto them for now. I keep a set of Callaway Apex MBs, for the following reasons: They are gorgeous. I can play them periodically to remind myself both that I am good enough, but also that the added forgiveness of my current clubs is nice. 
 
As Jamie pointed out, you are unlikely to recoup what you paid for them. Another path, depending on your financial situation, may be to take a look at some of the DTC offerings from Takomo, Sub 70, Caley, etc. a set of their gi or pd irons can be had at a reasonable price, without feeling like you have to sell one to finance the other. Takomo and Caley have had member testing this season, so there is a wealth of information available in the corresponding threads to help you determine which set might be a good fit. Good luck in whichever direction you head, but if you do decide to try something new, as always, pics and details, because we like that sort of thing.
