  1. Tell Jason Hi for me. And bring your warm clothes and a thermal cap. The hitting bay is not heated yet. So it can get a little cold in there...
  2. So, let me see if I understand this correctly.... It is less than $600 per year for UNLIMITED Golf.. and range? and practice facility? Even if you do not play and only practice and hit range balls, that is dirt cheap.. I'm not familiar with the golf economy in Massachusetts, but out west, $600 is few months dues for a Jr Executive. If I were in your shoes, and SWMBO was on board, I'd already have signed the paperwork...
  3. Just completed my fitting yesterday at the Bend Oregon location. My fitter, Jason Owens was amazing. Everything exceeded expectations. What I learned is that I have nearly the perfect setup... I can change iron heads to the Callaway Apex 19, and pick up 2MPH of ball speed and 7 yards of carry, and reduce my dispersion from 11.8f L to 4.8f L. I should soft step my iron shafts by 1 inch to bring them more in line with the frequencies that I prefer. My driver is perfect. My FW is basically a mini driver, even off of the deck. I like heavier shafts. - This was one of the main reasons that I was interested in going through such a complete fitting. I wanted to make sure that I was not leaving any potential yards out there by playing shafts that are too heavy for me as I age. Jason quickly dispelled this notion as we tried every weight and flex imaginable, and nothing was better that the 132g TT DGTI S400 that I play now. His only recommendation was to soft step them so I could get the spin rate a smidge higher on my long irons, and so that the CPM's will be more in line with the rest of my set. If you are close to a True Spec, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND making time to visit and go through a full bag fitting. It was completely worth the trip.
  4. $5 a plate? Wow. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  5. I have so many questions. I know that our superintendent will slice greens occasionally during the season, followed by a top dressing. It enhances the health of the roots. I do not believe that it would ever take the place of aerifcation. We are solid tyning the greens this Monday and Tuesday. Not pulling cores. Quicker heal. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  6. It’s hard to have a bad experience at arrowhead. That place is pure. At my place, we have 2” cups in the practice green. Putt at one of those for 15 minutes before a round, then the holes look like they are 3 times as big... Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  7. Played 8 holes yesterday after working the morning shift. Walked out of the shop, skipped the 1st hole and went straight to #2. 7 pars and 1 bogey when I missed a 3 footer. This game.....
  8. Both are cast from 8620 Carbon steel. The feel is relative.
  9. You are aware that the titleist wedges are cast as well, correct? Sent from OregonMyGolfSpy
  10. Played with the assistant super last night after work. We played the forward tees for a change of pace. 5209 64.8/110 I had 1 really bad double when I made a terrible swing with a wedge and buried it under a lip of a bunker, but other than that, things went pretty smoothly. 5 Birdies and an Eagle for 67. I missed 5 putts inside of 10 feet, so that could have been something special.... Oh well.. There is always today....

Stunning and beautiful. Greens will make you want to change sports.
  12. So, about this G410...... I've had the G400 in play since launch. I was never even tempted to try anything else. Then I had to read about how much better the G410 was. Tried it. Own it. - G410 Plus. 9° Tour 65 stiff. I tried several other shafts, but the Tour 65 was money for me. Incredible. So much straighter. My bad swings are just covered up. FedEx delivered it yesterday whilst I was on the 6th green. Put her in the bag for holes 7-18, and only missed 1 fairway. I haven't even had a chance to diddle with the settings yet. I Love this thing. Thanks to everyone in the thread for their insights about this club.
  13. We have just placed an order for 20 new EZ Go TXT cars with lithium batteries to replace 10 old off lease lead/acid cars. Should take delivery in 3-5 weeks. I’m quite excited about the reduced maintenance costs and wear and tear on the course due to lighter cars. It’s my understanding that you can retrofit older golf cars with lithium ion batteries from a Prius. Might want to look into that as a possibility. (I think there is some type of conversation kit that has to be purchased and installed). Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
