  1. I won a zip core wedge during the trivia portion of the giveaway. Congrats Hayes on the putter win. Didnt recognize any other names.
  2. That sucks, hope you can get it sorted out quickly.
  3. I think you have to have an account on Instagram, but you may be able to watch on Facebook.
  4. Go to their pages, I don’t thing you have to have an account. They do notify you if you win.
  5. We can always find a reason to perpetually delay; especially when new clubs are on if out. My cheap nature would fit to models on discount because I don’t think there is that much difference.
  6. A lot of it is. We could say the same thing about every other club in the bag. The difference is that the putter can look so drastically different than every other club so people dive into the minutia. Most is what is being talked about is fitting related stuff. However, Toe hang really isn’t a fitting parameter anymore but most people haven’t moved past that concept as one of the most important things.
  7. Look nice. You need to get it shafted and roll some putts.
  8. What you are getting into is how a person manipulates a putter. It may be caused by feel and how the person reacts to the putter. That is why you should be fit for a putter based on results and. It what the machine spits out. If a Player reacts to the putter that is in their hands and the computer provides a result then the player tries that putter they may get yet another result due to how the player reacts to the new putter. If the CoG for a putter causes it to be toe down, when the putter moves forward the head of the putter will lag behind. As the stroke continues it will pick up momentum and overtake the heel and close. From what I have learned toe hang isn’t a good indicator for fit since the same toe hang could have different rates of rotation based on head weight. Due to all the design options with a putter you actually have to Putt with it to see how you respond. You can’t just say I need a putter with X degrees of toe hang.
  9. Some days are just really hard
  10. No, took a break; the new episode was released today.
  11. First round in 21 and first round in about a month. First hole of the year provided an eagle opportunity and tap in birdie. Ran off 6 straight pars followed by a double and a par to finish the first 9 at +1. The wheels fell off on the second 9 with 1 par, 2 doubles and 6 bogeys. 36/47:83. 7FW, 5 GIR, and 28 putts. Only a few "bad" tee shots and iron play was a bit off. Short game was working on the front 9 but became miserable on the back. Kind of lost focus on the back 9 and think I was trying too hard to play better after a few bad holes. As a bonus, I made it home in time to watch the final Bears game of the season.
  12. The simple answer is probably not; shaft flex won't increase MPH. If you dive deep into this the answer could be maybe. You would need to assess where on the face you hit your current driver; If you don't hit it in the center of the face you are losing distance; finding the ideal shaft specs (length, flex, weight, profile, etc.) will help. A lighter weight shaft may help you swing faster, lighter weight does not mean softer flex. You also need to remember that the faster you swing (and the farther the ball goes) you will probably see a wider dispersion pattern if the face angle at impact variance remains the same. Meaning that if you hit the ball straight and the face is 1* open, you will be farther right at 250 yards than at 200 yards.
  13. What they will teach you in class is to use a digital level that shows slope and practice learning the feel. I have also seen people build ramps that you can set the slope and practice learning the feel at home.. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-10-in-Multi-Function-Standard-Digital-Level-THD9403/205999357
  14. DO IT!!!! Now you can blame it on peer pressure
  15. Hope they help. Didn't post the videos on pace and startline; just the ones that talked about reading greens. The ones that talk about targetting are more about using some visual options as they influence your read. The two part david orr videos go a bit into assessing why you missed. In my mind green reading is about matching everything up. Mathematically a difference course shouldn't matter; Given a green speed, slope, and ball speed the ball will break the same no matter the course. What probably happens is that when you go to another course, the green speeds are different and you haven't built the experience/feel to make the adjustment.
  16. @Kenny BSome more green reading videos @B.Boston a little aimpoint info in these videos
  17. There is some information around, but the community is pretty tight lipped and you really need to take the class. There is aimpoint and aimpoint express. Express is the streamlined version that you see when players are holding up fingers in front of their face. The basics are that you stand behind the ball (and possibly locations between the ball and hole) and you feel the slope of the green and determine if it is 1, 2, 3% slope. This takes time to learn how to actually feel it in your feet/legs. Once you have determined the slope, you use your finger(s) to predict break. If it is 2%, you hold up 2 fingers and that gives you an aimpoint left or right of the hole. The distance you hold your fingers in front of your face is based on green speed. The faster the green the closer you hold your hand to your face.
  18. Phil Kenyon did a few videos during the past lockdowns. Yes, they contain information about his putting school, but they do talk about how to practice green reading. https://www.philkenyonputting.com/gift/79E4E4CD-C593-4351-B248-3F83C9505C2D.aspx https://www.philkenyonputting.com/4-Part-Video-Series/3aa7ca3a.aspx
  19. Sounds like how my discussion may go; eager for my appointment to get here.
  20. 0811 gen 4 is an ugly driver...in my opinion.
