Most of these on the list I agree with - Top Flite XLs, Warbird, Slazenger, and the Kmart balls (Nitro, Intech). No one has mentioned the Nike Mojo yet, so I'll add that one. I carried a 7 wood for awhile, then I learned (got gud as the kids say) and bagged the 3 iron. But years passed and I struggled with it, so hybrid time. Agree with above - I had a X speed driver i played for years and currently bag a fly -z wood set at 16.5 and it just jumps! It seems they've had trouble converting to a true players club maybe? The 4 Penick books are great. And I've read some Bob Rotella if you are looking for help with the mental side. I'm going to disagree with a lot of people here and say avoid the Hogan book for now. Maybe it's the brands? Callaway is super popular and Ping has a long time following. Cobra isn't one of the old country club brands. Personally, I only sign up for things I'm interested in. I skipped the Steelheads and am not signing up for the Epic. Not a Callaway guy and would be biased against the product. Not good for objective testing.
