  1. ... I am guessing you meant TP5x. I have a swing speed right around 100mph and absolutely love the Srixon Z Star and still play it from time to time. But for me, the TP5x is longer off mid to long irons as well as off the tee and at age 64 I can't turn down some additional yardage. For my game, the TP5x is the best ball I have played. Fwiw, I do not find additional yardage with the TP5.

Sounds like I need to give these a try when my inventory of zstars runs out.

  2. Worst feeling 79 ever I think. Back was sore and the swing was so uncomfortable I can't describe it. Other than two three putts my short game saved me today. I think I had maybe four birdie putts all day and only two were within fifteen feet. Needless to say none of them dropped. Driver and 3w were the only clubs that felt remotely comfortable and I didn't feel like I had any power. That said, it's unlikely I'll ever complain about a 79 and today won't be the day!

  3. casual round with my friends always has some music playing but the volume isn't loud enough for other groups to hear.  if I'm in an event of sorts or playing with people I don't know I don't even bring it up because I don't want someone to say its ok but not really mean its ok.

Heck sometimes they ask me if I care if they play music and I say have at it because I normally listen on course as well, it really helps break the ice a little with folks you don't know and lets me know that they probably aren't going to be the crotchety internet golfer who just complains to complain.  thus far I haven't had anyone play anything too explicit or loud on the course and it doesn't take anything away from escaping the hustle and bustle of the work week.

  4. Best round of the year so far today. Weird round though, 43 on front and literally couldn't do anything but hit my driver then went on a back nine par streak and ended with an eagle on 18 for a 35 on the back. Nice to get back in the seventies and not feel completely inept for 18 holes. The eagle was a nice capper since it was on a hole I have never been on in two (nice to have a little wind help!) and hit a 20' putt. Already posted in the TM thread but the M2 driver was ridiculous today. Needless to say I am ready for next Saturday

  5. Played in a scramble today and tried to work out some swing demons. Made a change in ball position today and absolutely smashed (by my standards) the M2 driver today. If I can keep this up it's gonna be a fun ride.

Ball striking with irons was very solid today as well. Looking forward to getting on the course ASAP now

  6. No M2 thread that I could find so thought I would post on here in case someone is considering the 2017 M2.

First round in the books with the M2 driver. I have it set at stock 9.5 with upright hosel. Really like the sound and flight of this one. It has the Fuji Pro 53 in it but it's soon to be replaced with a new Red Tie. Hit a couple snappy drives but if I slow down and put a solid swing on this driver the ball seems to just go go go. One mis hit off the heel side actually turned out very well and the toe seems fairly forgiving as well. So far quite happy and can't wait to get more swings on it.

  7. 83 today with 3 birdies and way too many doubles. The new M2 corrected most of my tee issues and my wedges and short irons were spot on. Problem was anything longer than 7 iron and my chipping was subpar as well. 5 rounds in 4 days starting Thursday so hopefully I can get it together soon.

  8. Tale of two nines yesterday. 40/46. First round in 6 weeks that wasn't a best ball event and was pretty encouraged on the front despite not being able to get off the tee very well (4 drop shots off tee for the day!). Actually real happy until hole 13 where I proceeded to go triple, triple, bogey, double the next 4 holes! Hahaha. What do you do tho? Just gonna give it a go next week. Good news is I found two clubs in my bag that have no business being there and am already working to correct that.
