  1. @revkevi meant to say i fade it a little bit. oops . So i guess that kinda helps confirm what im reading; if i go slightly higher then it should help get me to straight or slight draw. I am horrible about really seeing if a club looks open or closed at address. Sounds weird but drivers always appear open to me; maybe bc i can see the face?? I wish there was somewhere i could try a autoflex or real ventus somewhere without a hassle....
  2. Thanks for the unofficial review @revkev. I too have a hold of the regular Stealth 9deg with "Ventus" Red (TM Ventus, not velcore); Won one in an online contest. I currently game a TM M6 as TM's have always suited me best. The one round i've put in with the Stealth has been great. The misses seem much smaller than with my M6. I'll try to put together an unofficial review myself too. I have had a tendency to hit a slight fade with the Stealth so going to try ticking it 1deg towards HIGHER on the sleeve to close the face a. hair and see how that does.
  3. a 15hr brisket smoke sounds amazing! Not sure i can get my BGE to smoke that long...
  4. This is great bc it not only provides the Moderators with information when selecting testers, but now i can see who relates to me as far as skill, swing speed, etc. As well as when i'm relating to others in the forum.
  5. Unfortunately could not get dynamic loft from the GC2. We are ignoring those first 2 shots as "warmups".
  6. Not a fan of a knuckle ball?? haha yea pretty low but that with their stock HZDS Red shaft (mid/mid). I would need more of a high/high shaft (which i'll steal from my current M6)
  7. I actually WON the Stealth Plus+ (marketing/influencer) package from the AJGA instagram giveaway. Was able to hit it just a handful of times and it sounds great. I need to put it up against my current TM M6 gamer to see how it compares. Initial impressions are very low spin (for me). I hit my best 2 that were 1300 & 1700 rpm. But the peak heights were good, launch was 10 & 12deg
  8. Interested in following this as well. My goal is to get a Mevo+ one day... Also having the extra room/space to do it is a dream too i guess. Being a Lefty, we have limited options for hitting and not changing the settings like on a Skytrak
  9. Honestly, a fitting for the exact shaft would be best. But if you've been able to see spin numbers than you can kinda self diagnose. One idea is to add lead tape to the bottom leading edge to bring the weight forwward
  10. oops joined late. Might have missed this weeks picks
  11. I guess it really depends on a lot of factors. - Cost v. benefit - taking lessons and improving swing - Change in swing speeds - Do you wanna have the latest and "greatest" And not all new drivers are going to provide a benefit year over year. Some people hit older drivers as far as the newer ones. I recently saw a video of a guy hitting the past like 7yrs of Taylormade drivers and he hit the TM M1 driver as far as the SIM; it didnt change anything for him.
  12. This spurs my curiosity.... Do the OEMs test all their stock shafts on the robot and provide the public with the best or worst performance numbers. Which shaft is determined for reporting. Of course you would want to think the best BUT as long as the worst numbers are better than the previous years data, then its a win. AND if you get fit, the ability to show even better numbers will be easier since there is greater room for improvement.
  13. Very interesting seeing the TM and Callaway driver approaches out of the gate to start the year. Stealth is a whole "new" technology using carbon fiber in the face (yes, i know its been done before. I read the article ). Then Callaway is using the Rogue from the past to build upon. Rogue was a long driver when i tried it but i had control issues. Can't wait to see what Cobra, Ping, and ?Titleist? have in store!
  14. congrats @GolfSpy_BOS! This doesnt mean @Lacassem gets priority on testing opportunities, right?
  15. Its taken me quite a while to find a good 3w i like both off the tee and off the turf. Used the TM M4 for a while and it was a rocket off the tee but couldn't hit it real great from the deck. Grabbed a Titleist TS2 off ebay for like $100 and can CRUSH it off the deck but not ideal off the tee. Would prefer off the deck since im consistent with my driver. Ideally i should get fit for a 3w and 5w but i havent yet. Really try out a few and get the right shaft in them.
  16. you're right, says M/M on the site. I could swear they changed it; my mistake
  17. Congrats @blackngold_bloodon a great season! You wheel'd and deal'd. Also major props for @Lacassem, @Berg Ryman, and @xOldBenKenobiXfor outstanding performances down the stretch! That 50pts for the regular season paid off BIG for @blackngold_blood.
  18. sorry, I should have been more clear; Go to unbiased/ Non-OEM/ local/ national fitters.
  19. I would always go with a national fitter/CC/TrueSpec bc they are making sure you hit ANY and all brands that will best suit your swing. They dont necessarily care which brand they sell you bc if those guys can show you how much better you are hitting a ball with Titleist, or Srixon, or TM etc, then they'll sell the clubs. In a way, the OEMs need to kinda convince you that their clubs are the best for you without having anything to compare to.
  20. $40 for a Program that i have to input my perceived data! Its not like we are utilizing time on a Quad or trackman.... Could you not give a recommendation to put anyone in some form of Titleist ball (AVX, ProV1, or ProV1x) and not be wrong? UNLESS a criteria is how much you wanna pay for a dozen balls...
  21. Ah man, my wife is tired of hearing about it this weekend but i had an AMAZING back 9! ...We dont need to talk about the front 9 much. Played Yeamans Hall in Charleston, SC, par 70 ( 35/35). Shot a rough 47 on the front (let s skip that part) and then turned around and shot a +2 37 on the back!! Best 9 holes i've ever shot. Closed it out in. style with a 12ft birdie putt on the par 5 18th hole too.
  22. Welp it was fun bu I would feel wrong if i won the golden ticket. I'd prefer to let someone else win. I'll bow out gracefully as a 16th place so others can keep playing. On to Fantasy Football!
