2023 Cobra Announces New KING Tour and KING CB/MMB Players Irons
Quigleyd replied to Golfspy_CG2's topic in Golf Clubs
I think this is the best iron line release this year. The King tours are fantastic. -
Very true.

I am a fan of the full toe score lines. I wish I had not just gotten new wedges.

How many different grips are on your clubs?
Quigleyd replied to richk9holes's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
For the first time in years. My grips actually all match. -
Edel SMS and SMS Pro Irons - 2023 Forum Review

Curious to hear all your freedback. -
New ball!! I used Snell balls for a couple years then stopped. The MTBX spun too much and the MTB was too soft. Curious about these new Prime balls.

This tour seems to be tracking down hill. The event did not present well today at all..

I am in a weird spot. I 100% agree with all of the USGA reasons. But also 100% disagree with a rule change.

Super interested in the J grind full toe wedges. I have the current jaws raw wedges but I really like full toe wedges.

You may or may not have seen it, but I suspect you all have seen it. But Rickie is playing a longer counter balanced and heavily lead taped putter. I am constantly frustrated with putting so I decided to try and build a putter like this. It is not with the same putter head. But it is with a mallet style head. I ordered a fresh putter shaft and 17 inch super stroke XL grip to install. I think I will still have to add an extension to the putter shaft to get it to length. I plan on adding some counter balanced weight to the club somehow. It will probably just be lead tape under the grip to do it on the cheap. Then add some tape to the head. Any way.. Thought I would share the build and results. It will either work or it wont. lol.

Always interested in the "best ball" test. There have been some surprises in the past that were interesting.

The Carbon is surprisingly pretty good. It is the lowest spinning driver out there this year..
-
I wanted to share some info, that the finish on these irons (although not technically out) seems to be chipping and wearing very quickly. That of course has no impact on performance, but the badging in the back is not holding up after just a round or two..

just picked up a ping PLD anser putter. Feels really good. I honestly wanted the Wilson staff blade but they didnt have one in 35 and I didnt want to order one and wait! lol. May get one later, but I am also thinking about a plus model Scotty Cameron newport.

Bryson showed up to Mexico with ping !230 irons in the bag.

I didn't read all the responses, but I don't think LAgolf is ever really going to elevate from where they are. They are a bit of a mess internally from what I am hearing. They bought a pretty successful putter company to completely scrap it and go almost full carbon in putters. They are pretty ugly and unrefined. Their marketing is all over the place. They tried to do a high-end high-class deal with the first putter release and all the tour pros at a swanky party. That fell on deaf ears so now they have low-brow YouTube commercials. All the while their biggest name stopped playing their driver shaft. I do know they are producing shafts for House of Forged shafts for them now.

Interesting results. I am not "that" surprised. I have hit all of these in testing personally and my ranking would shake out slightly different. -

Freaking love these irons. -
These are way up there in terms of irons I really like from this years release. It is between these and the Srixon irons for best players iron release this year so far.

Thank you sir!!!

Brooks's best days are behind him. Injury, age, and a hot run that is over means if he was currently on the PGA tour he wouldnt be relevant for much longer. So he may as well jump ship. He has become about as big if a tool as Reed. I was a big fan for a few years, then he decided that he wanted pretend that he was super cool.
