  1. My PW is 44* and I have a 50, 56 and 60 wedge set. I am thinking of switching my 56 to a 54. My 44 and 50 are full shots and my 56 and 60 are my half and full swing clubs (Still learning my full swing 60 shots). If you have some of them that you do a full swing on and hit consistent distances, and some other wedges are more of a feel half swing club, then I say use all 5. What ever gets you the required results.
  2. I would do it through eBay or get his PayPal and do it through Goods and Services. I wouldn't risk it
  3. When I started I used the blue 4 more yards tee. This was because it has a section where the plastic has a ring around it and that gave me a consistent height every time. Now with a regular tee, I tee it up where the half the ball is above the top line of the driver. The line that the balls use for putting can be used as a measuring line as that is the half mark on the ball.
  4. I wait until TGW or World wide golf shops has a sale on (email alerts). I normally buy Nike polo's, they are always bringing out new stuff so the old shirts are always on sale, sometimes $70-80 shirts for $35-40
  5. I purchased the Nike Air Hybrid bag and I love it. It is a tad heavy but it's like a cart bag with a stand, it also has the options to easily un-clip the straps, I cart a lot so it was a no brainier for me. I have also walked it on a short par 3 course and the straps felt great. I got the other model for my wife, the Nike Air sport, and that feels a lot lighter and the perfect one for walking.
  6. Same, mine is going to stay in my bag for a long time too. If I were to get another one it would most likely be the Hollywood. The whole collection would look sweet. I got all my clubs this year, so my bag won't be changing for a while too.
  7. Love the putter choice, I think you are set with your Driver and fairway for some time now.
  8. I started with a Strata 9 piece set a few years ago. Got fitted for a Driver to start with, then just recently got fitted to a new set of irons. Now it time to knuckle down and get my score down into the 80's and low 90's consistently. What do you guys think? Ended up with a mix of Callaway and Titleist. Driver: GBB Epic 10.5* 3 Wood: Epic Flash 4 Hybrid: Epic Flash Irons: 4 - PW Rogue Wedges: Vokey SM8 50*, SM7 56*, 60* Putter: California Fastback 35" w Red Cord Dancing SC Grip Bag: Nike Air Hybrid Golf Bag My OCD made me match the EPIC Flash driver head cover with the 3W and 4H.
  9. I agree this is fake, the sole doesn't look correct
  10. When COVID first hit, the tee times were spread out to limit the amount of people on the course. A course I play is known for 5-6 hours for 18, this cut a round down to just over 4, it was bliss, now they have started to go back to their original time gaping and its going back to 5 hours. Fun while it last, but golf courses need to be more realistic on the tee times.
  11. The Vokey wedges allow you to customize them for the conditions you play and swing type. Do some research on grind and bounce, and once you see what fits your swing and the type of turf or sand you play on, you can make the wedges that suit you best. I got my 50, 56 and 60 set and have been loving them.
  12. You have to pick a par 3 and play closest to the pin Also select a par 5, and have the longest drive on that hole wins.
  13. Is it possible to just switch the driver head on my shaft? For example, add an EPIC flash head on my GBB EPIC driver shaft? Or will the shaft work differently with the change, and I will need to go to another fitting and get a new shaft too? Has anyone else done this? Thank you MGS community
  14. What platform do you use? ESPN, Yahoo or a third party?
  15. Count me in for one too! This is a great community, everyone is always helpful and honest.
  16. I upgraded my Driver from my first Strata set, first thing I upgraded. Got fitted and noticed the difference instantly. I purchased a second hand driver a few years old, but it had all the same tech as the new ones that are out now.
  17. Just a quick question; Should your PW match your iron set or your wedge set?
  18. I honestly buy the found/repurposed golf balls. I can get elite balls for the fraction of the price. At my level the mint versions are just the same as if I played a round with one of them.
  19. I even find the amount of pressure I hold the club with effects my drive.
  20. I don't see a problem with it. At least you will know your specs and will be ready to buy when you can. Especially in this current time with the pandemic, and money is lower than usual.
