    Agree 100%!
Too many people hear or read a few lines from their interviews and think they are biased and pro-PGA Tour, when all they want is a good pro golf viewing product.

It is really funny (and kind of sad) to think about Swafford and Gooch waiting in a parking lot outside of TPC Southwind and then have to get a flight out of town.
Money can easily cloud judgement, especially when you are as young as they are.

Davis Love III on NLU podcast. Great long interview that gave me a lot more confidence in the PGA Tour surviving. Biggest takeaway - the PGA tour has been preparing for this long for a few years and I expect to see more players be outspoken about the lawsuit.

They can play and win a bunch of asian tour events to get OWGR points.

I hope these players, coaches, agents, and everyone else in their circles aren't ignorant enough to not see the ripple effect of them signing with LIV (Norman) and suing the member organization that they were a part of.
But maybe they are. Money can be quite blinding.

I think this is different than just "changing companies for more money". This is dismantling professional golf. I'm pretty sure that Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Lebron, etc. could leave their league, travel and do showcases all around for more money than their contract with a less demanding schedule. But they don't. They want to play with the best and win to build their legacy.
This is a cash grab and abandoning and ultimately destroying the system they used to get them to this point. I think Monahan sees it as an all or nothing scenario. He's going to fight until a verdict and if LIV ultimately wins the PGA tour will be gone.

That’s a fair point. They would have to publicly and repeatedly renounce LIV and suffer some sort of penalty. Monaghan would love to trot them out repeatedly doing mea culpa’s. “I have seen the error of my ways and LIV golf is not the answer.”

Still doesn’t grant them access to the pga tour or any of the tours run by the pga tour due to suspension.

Also the owgr points on Asia tour aren’t very high and they will have hard time staying ahead of those on pga tour and/or euro tour who are getting more points.

That’s pure ignorance on their part if they thought that, and a poor excuse. They were told upfront that if they chose to violate the rules they would face the punishment. If they didn’t believe it then too bad for them. They are adults and should know and understand what their actions are going to be.
I have zero mercy for ignorance as an excuse

I would think it ultimately comes down to the One World Golf Ranking board made up of:
    Chairman – Peter Dawson
Augusta National Golf Club – Buzzy Johnson
    European Tour – Keith Pelley
International Federation of PGA Tours – Keith Waters
PGA of America – Seth Waugh
    PGA TOUR – Jay Monahan
    The R&A – Martin Slumbers
    USGA – Mike Whan

Here's an interesting slide deck I found on the updated OWGR points from August 2021. As discussed at length on here, LIV has A LOT to change to get OWGR points.

I think the initial reaction against the Saudi Investment Fund starting a golf league is already gone. So the sport washing is working. The conversation has turned to the golf product and away from Saudi issues. You see it here, people are tired of hearing about where the money is coming from because of these type of arguments -  "generational wealth... you would turn this down?? what about Aramco LPGA? your 401k is full of saudi companies..."
I think we will see this go to Congress. The reality is that there is nothing stopping the Saudi Investment Fund from doing this to all other professional and even amateur sports leagues in the US.
I've said it before but nothing is stopping this from happening in College Football. I'll pick on Liberty and if Jerry Falwall was still there... Jerry could call up his political connections to get in touch with someone over the SIF. SIF agrees and does an NIL deal with every player on Liberty's football and basketball team for $1 mil / yr. Liberty becomes a powerhouse, leaves their conference to play international matches and takes all of the top talent out of the US. SIF does this with 1 or 2 more schools and college football goes from what it is now to watching the MAC every Saturday in the fall.

Non-profit status is not based on donations to charity.
It's been stated over and over in the comments above how players in other sports changing teams is not anything like this situation, which is a new Tour attacking the PGA Tour and attempting to poach its top players.

What a tiresome train wreck, millionaires (some spoiled hypocrites) in court again for years - yawn. I hope OWGR, the majors and/or sponsors force LIV to be entirely separate from the PGA, though I fully realize that probably won't may not happen - it's not a fair fight $ wise. Let the PGA move forward with their players, their tournaments and the majors they've nurtured and supported for generations. And let LIV move forward with their own events, and whatever players they attract from wherever. If PIF gets the PR and (eventual) ROI they want from the LIV sideshow, so be it. LIV has already damaged the PGA with no regard for the traditions of golf, I don't see any reason the PGA should help them along as some here seem to think...

I think they are getting nervous about OWGR and FedEx Cup is the last hope to get some points for next years majors.
I'm no lawyer but I have a feeling that Jay and his lawyers might have something up their sleeve. The antitrust court battle is going to be big but I think the biggest challenge facing the PGA tour right now is if the restraining order goes through allowing LIV guys to play in FedEx Cup. If the court holds up the ban, LIV players are going to drop so fast in OWGR that the longer the court battle, the better for the PGA tour.

This makes me sad for the future of pro golf. It's going to be a miserable 2-3 years while this go to the courts.
With LIV finding it's biggest cheerleader so far in Trump has brought even more politics into this scenario. I watch golf as an escape and now that won't be the case anymore. Regardless of your own politics, this isn't going to be enjoyable.

Explain why you chose the model you did and what you'd hope to get out of them performance wise Currently gaming i210 and love them they are very consistent but that also includes mishits. With a 1 year old home, I dont have the time to keep up my ball striking so bad days can be bad. Something a little more game improvement would be welcomed at this time in my life. I've only had ping irons and they are pure, so I would be excited to see how they hold up against cobra List your first name/city state (US Only entries) Trevor - Birmingham AL What current irons you're playing i210 4-GW Handicap 8.4 Will you agree to patriciate in discussions on the forum about your experience with the irons after receiving them. Absolutely!
