I have alot of golf shirts, but I bought some 32degrees golf shirts and man they are great. Never had a shirt that felt so weightless and had a nice slim fit. Especially super good considering they are only $11.99

Right, you are kind of touching on my point ( probably could have been clearer on my end) that the fitter is focusing on improvement and finding the best combination for a person.  Sometimes it's their current combo, sometimes it's not. My point is that a good fitter wants to find you whatever you hit best, however some fitters will absolutely push a person into something new regardless of if it performs better. I can only really speak for myself but I have experienced free fittings push for sales while paid fittings are more concerned with what works best for you and are perfectly ok with you walking away with nothing.
I don't think fitting people for free based on the motivation of increasing store sales ( as adam was pushing) is really a good thing.

Even MGS own 2021 fitting survey results the number 1 reason people didn't get fitted was they didn't believe it would benefit their game. TXG is educating people on the benefits of fitting through their youtube channel. If anything, education is the issue, and even if it was free, if people don't see the benefit, they won't try it regardless of cost.
Additionally cost didn't rank in the top 5 of ways people voted that fittings could be improved. I think cost is way less prohibitive than Adam is leading on and MGS own vote shows that.
I also don't think quality fitters are looking to sell a new driver to the same guy every year. I think they take pride in fitting someone so well to something they don't comeback to buy another one next year, but they tell their friends who then come and get fit by the same guy.
Last, really wish Adam would have let Ryan speak. This was really hard to watch and definitely didn't sit too well with me. You have a guy who represents a business that shows people the benefits of fitting and has probably led a lot of people to get fit yet he can't get a word in because Adam keeps beating on about "that one time my free fitting idea brought in more sales". Really disappointing.

No, they shouldn’t, and we all donate to help MGS cover the costs of all the equipment needed for Most Wanted testing, so MGS KNOWS the cost of doing business to have enough clubs and shafts for everyone. Seems a little hypocritical.
A fitter spends $20,000 right away on a new Trackman, then thousands and thousands more on shafts and club heads. Add-in rent, taxes, incomes, utilities, insurance, etc and it’s a ridiculous amount of money, and it’s not a ONE-TIME expenditure. You gotta get each new shaft, head, etc.
You pay for the knowledge and expertise of a fitter.

I really think it all just might be clickbait, to be honest… Riles-up folks. Gets people yapping. Most Wanted sure isn’t FREE!!!

Exactly this.  I don't have any insider knowledge, but my guess is that TXG breaks even or close to it if they sell every single fitting slot available at a location.  Any club sales on top of that are profit.  This is the complete opposite of what Adam is envisioning because his dream scenario essentially turns every golf retailer into a big box store where volume of sales pays for the services they provide.  It's essentially the Amazon philosophy but since golf equipment prices are basically fixed, they use the volume to fund perks like free fittings as opposed to offering lower prices (margins).

I am 100% on Ryan's side with this argument. I found it hard to listen to because of the way Adam was pushing his argument, basically not letting Ryan speak at points.

Definitely not as easy as just offering free fittings for all. It may work in a big retail environment like he claims, but there is no way that they could offer the amount of options, or level of service that you would get for a TXG.

Bit of a sour taste for MGS after listening to that podcast.

Love MGS, but it’s foolish and irresponsible to make a blanket statement that all club fittings should be free
I made it through less than half of the podcast before I had to shut it off.

Kudos to Ryan for trying to explain his point thoughtfully. I wish I could say the same for the MGS side of things
And a big eye roll to the Free Fitting T-shirt tweet sent out.  Not a good look

I use the oakely prizm dark lenses in the oakley crossrange frames and really enjoy them. I dont typically wear them when I play as I am not used to playing in lenses, but I regularly wear them on the range and they are excellent. Just havent gotten up the courage to wear sunglass during a normal round of golf

Oakley prizm dark for me on every round. If it is cloudy I will put on the regular golf prizm. Everyday wear I cycle between Oakley and Ray ban.

I have Oakley Prizm for golfing, and I bought the Goodr brand golf sunglasses to try as well. The Goodr give me the sensation that the ground under the ball has bulged-up a bit. Sort of weird. I only use the Oakleys when I choose to wear glasses when I play, which isn’t every round...

Flip4000 reacted to NM01 in Taylormade SIM drivers - Thoughts?
Just because you didn’t have success with a driver doesn’t mean they have regressed. There’s plenty of evidence on forums that indicate they have improved over the m5 and in general. @Quigleyd has posted info. The sim thread on wrx has numerous people seeing better results from sim and max compared to various previous releases and over several of the new releases. You are probably one of the very few that has seen an increase in spin with the sim. What’s your aoa with the m5 and sim? Where on the face was your contact?
TXG comparison between m5 and sim show improvement in speed and better standard deviation.

    1. No it does not. Some people chose to do it because they are huge fans of the brand . Others do it because manufacturers tend to make hybrids and woods blend into their ironsets now and it helps with gapping.
I also think there is a little tour influence in the sense a few years ago it seemed like a lot fewer players played with mixed bags than they do now
    2. From a consistency stand point, I do like my woods to feel similar to an extent, however if I get better performance from using clubs from different manufacturers why bog myself down using just 1?
I think more people are taking a performance based approach than ever especially with the amount of data we have access to so it makes sense people would now pick clubs with the best numbers. Additionally some manufacturers really stand out in different parts of the game, and that was really true several years ago. Now everyone has started to make long drivers, high launching hybrids, forgiving and/or precise irons, and solid wedges. People have more choice than ever so why limit yourself?
Especially if none of them are sending you checks for using their gear.

True, but the mizuno buttery feel you get with their irons isn't necessarily what I want in my wedges, nor would I necessarily get that same feel in the woods. I think part of it is I am willing to overlook a different feel if the results of using another brands clubs are much better. Also, performance wise sometimes the brand you want doesn't make a club in the shape or with the tech you want.

I agree that you put the clubs in your bag that best performed for you.
I think the trend of having one type of brand in your bag and has change in the last 3-4 years, where now it doesn't matter as long as it works. There doesn't seem to be no more loyal to only one brand. I think fitting has add it to this since, places like Club Champion give you all of the different options to optimized YOUR game and they will put different irons, woods etc.
As far as transition, what I was getting at with that, each brand has a particular feel and if you are expecting to get that feel and get a different one, is that a big deal (you get use to it of course) You know is a big difference feel going from a Mizuno to a Titleist.

There are a lot of brands that have different fits do the same size between models. It’s not that unusual. It happens in shoes all the time too. Nike size 8 isn’t standard across the board in their shoes.

The op got a response the delay he was complaining about was his review being posted. Nothing wrong with someone expressing their displeasure but if that person is rude in doing so the chances they get something less than a cordial response is going to dramatically decrease because of that type of attitude
BTW the op hasn’t been on since February 15 so he really only came here to get a negative review posted on the internet of a brand because he didn’t like how he perceived the linksoul review process to be.

Maybe once or twice every 3 rounds. I have a new driving iron that i hit extremely consistently and gets me out about 15 yards shorter than my 3 wood, but eliminates the hooks. On the typical course I play, I can live with hitting one more club in to the green from the fairway, vs the rough.
That's not to say I dont hit my 3 wood well, but when I really need to hit the fairway, the driving iron is just much easier

Yup, I have this same hat and it's excellent in the heat. Love the fabric as it feels like it's going to be much easier to soak out salt stains than a normal hat.

I also really like the baseball cap version as well. Found them on nordstrom rack for sub $20

I've had nothing but positive experiences with both Link Soul  products and customer service.
I ordered a 2 long sleeve zips that fit great.  Several weeks later I ordered some tshirts in the same size and they were too big.  I contacted customer service and they provided me with a return label.  I shipped the shirts back to them and they shipped new shirts back in a different size.
Perhaps you should have contacted their customer service and got a return or exchange before publicly bashing them?
But given that you signed up here just to post that information leads to me to believe that patience and following process isn't your style
