SPY VIP Tony Covey MGS Posted October 22, 2013 SPY VIP Share Posted October 22, 2013 I took last week off from the Tuesday Awesome (after handing it off to @GolfSpy MBP the week before). After this week you may find yourself hoping that I never post anything again. This time around I'm stepping slightly outside of the proper world of golf to tell you about something I wear frequently when I play golf. If nothing else, just be grateful I've chosen not to include any selfies. Tommy John Underwear Why Tommy John Underwear is Awesome It's super comfortable. It moves with you, and keeps you dry. The Quick Draw pouch provides easy access to your junk. It comes in a variety of styles (briefs, boxer briefs, and trunks) It comes in a variety of fabrics (cotton, modal, and poly-spandex blends) It comes in a variety of awesome colors (including a limited edition pink for Breast Cancer Awareness) Did I mention the easy access to your junk? The 360 model has an accessory pouch for cash, keys, ipod, etc. (frankly I'm not sure if that's awesome or just weird). The Quick Draw Fly Like a lot of modal and other higher-end fabric underwear, TJ is a bit on the price side (~$30 a pair), so I generally wait for a sale, but I absolutely am a huge believer that when it comes to underwear, socks, and shoes, one should never pinch pennies. SPY VIP Tony Covey MGS Posted October 22, 2013 Author SPY VIP Share Posted October 22, 2013 Do we know the leg length on these? I need to buy longer leg boxer briefs cause' to short and I find short inseams tend to irritate. I could take some measurements, I suppose. FWIW, the Trunk is generally as long as anybody else's (Calvin Klein for example) boxer brief, and as you can see when you look at their boxer brief models, they're really long, like spandex cycling shorts long. SPY ZINGER
I am going to try myself a pair of these. I wear the UA boxer jock for golf and like them as well. They're the same cost. I think I speak for MBP when I say, we'd like to see some pics of them on so he can see the fit and finish.
dru_
Strange as it sounds, I actually went through a period of time where I was testing out a raft of different "furnishings" ( did you know that is what department stores fall men's basics like underwear, t-shirts socks and belts? ). I tried most of the big names, and these ranked right up near the top of the list. UA, and Adidas both had good products too. The ExOfficio stuff is very good too, but in the end, I found that the cotton blends wore better. So now for my shameful secret. Shortly after the new year, I subscribed to a 'get a pair of drawers every month service' where they do monthly prints and stuff, and they ship em out about once a month. MeUndies (you've probably seen the ads on the Web) I use the Boxer Brief, as my quads are too big to wear trunks (they just roll up on me). They are comfortable, and fun. Best of all, my wife loves the funky prints. She considers white 'Boring', so that is a bonus! They aren't the cheapest out there, but they are the most comfortable I found, and best of all, I don't have to go shopping for them :-) Dru - Owner, President & Janitor, Druware Software Designs RH 13.1 Handicap in soggy Georgia WITB * 1W 10.5* @ PXG 0211 ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 3W PXG 0211 ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 5W 18* Tailor-made AeroBurner ( Stock Stiff ) * 7W Sub70 949x ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 5i-PW @ PXG 0211 ( Gen 1 ) * 52 @ Hogan Equalizer * 56 @ Sub70 * 60 @ Hogan Equalizer * Carbon Ringo 1/4 * Vice Pro Plus

dru_
So you can keep some of your junk near your junk. Just not a cell phone. Cell phones in bras are linked to breast cancer, so I don't think I want my cell phone that close. ( I use a hip holster when, or in an armband, but more often then not it is on my desk, clipped to my golf bag, or tucked into my backpack Dru - Owner, President & Janitor, Druware Software Designs RH 13.1 Handicap in soggy Georgia WITB * 1W 10.5* @ PXG 0211 ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 3W PXG 0211 ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 5W 18* Tailor-made AeroBurner ( Stock Stiff ) * 7W Sub70 949x ( HZRDUS Smoke Black X-Stiff ) * 5i-PW @ PXG 0211 ( Gen 1 ) * 52 @ Hogan Equalizer * 56 @ Sub70 * 60 @ Hogan Equalizer * Carbon Ringo 1/4 * Vice Pro Plus
