Jmikecpa
In Philly would play at Glenn Mills hands down. You could head half an hour south into Delaware and play White Clay Creek at Delaware Park as that would be choice #2. Big issue with Philly is that there are a lot of great courses but they are private. You could also look at Golf Now and see if there are any private places that are allowing you to get out. Any questions you can PM me and I can help. Lived in Philly for almost 20 years and played just about every course in the area public or private. WITB 2024 Driver: Qi10 LS 9* Ltd. sp0rtsfan86
There's an interesting track somewhere near Philly called The golf course at Glen Mills. It's not the most spectacular course... but the story behind it is incredible. They take kids who were convicted of a crime and put them to work on the golf course in lieu of jail time. The cases according to the person who worked at the club ranged from theft to manslaughter/murder (again this may or may not be 100 percent true.) The idea is to reform the kids and show them what the other side of the tracks look like as well as providing them a skill. It's not a bad course either IIRC, very hilly. It's also the site of one of my best golf moments, hitting a 200 yard shot up a hill only for it to roll back down to the tee via cart path. Jmikecpa
It is Glen Mils PA about 35 minutes outside of the city. sp0rtsfan86
Played Riverwinds today. Nice course - shitty greens. 8:48 tee time at Glen Mills tomorrow I played there 4-5 years ago and totally forgot about it. Had a buddy down there and we tried playing by him, then a round by me, then a round in between. we played when it was near freezing... all I remember was hte greens were huge and I couldn't put to save my life.
