Peterpc2828
I enjoy walking when I play so I like a nice light stand bag but at the same time I am always looking for something different, I currently have a single strap Titleist stand bag from 2015, it's ok and I really love the single strap but it's defiantly not the lightest and it's now time for a change. I've also had the Jones bag original and loved it but just a bit too small for me, I'm not looking for a Sunday bag either, they are all way too small for me. So far I have seen the Sun Mountain leather stand bags that look great but can't find out how much they weigh and also the Sun Mountain 2five looks interesting as well. Any suggestions guys? Thanks! Kenny B
Agreed. Several people here like the Nexus. I don't think you can go wrong with the Sun Mountain either. I have a SM stand bag from several years ago that I use when I travel. Normally, I use a SM cart bag on their push cart. Bags are sort of personal; looks, feel when carrying, etc. I have been looking at the SM leather bags as well. A bit pricey, but might do that when I change. Did you check out last year's Most Wanted on the blog? http://www.mygolfspy.com/best-stand-carry-golf-bag/ “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Did you check out last year's Most Wanted on the blog? http://www.mygolfspy.com/best-stand-carry-golf-bag/ Yes I've looked at last years MGS most wanted, I'm hoping for an updated list since we just saw the MGS most wanted cart bags. SM leather is pricy but certainly different. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
PlaidJacket
I don't need a bag but if I did I'd give some serious consideration to the Sun Mountain Three 5 bag. I keep stumbling across write ups and reviews on the web for it. Looks pretty good. Pete, you might also consider an even smaller bag. Especially since you walk a lot. For me - I have a Wilson Staff stand bag but use it on my Sun Mountain cart. I just don't like that drag of a bag on my shoulders for 18 holes. And... I'm 61. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour
jberhart
I just purchased a Sun Mountain Four 5 stand bag, and love it. 14 individual dividers makes it easy to remove and place each club. Light enough to carry for 18 holes. And I'm 61 years old, but still carrying. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Chris O.
I have the WS Nexus bag and I love it. But the SM 2Five bag is awesome. By far the lightest bag I've ever picked up. chemclub
I usually don't shill for the OEMs, but PING hoofers have always been my favorite. I have never had issues with club binding with my Hoofer2, although I have heard some grumbling about newer models. But a hoofer with 14 slots is now available. Really well thought out bag with a leg system that requires no effort. Just drop it and the legs are out because of the hoof. chemclub
+1 on the Hoofer. Not the lightest bag I have owned but one of the most comfortable carry bags I have ever used. I bought my Callaway HL5 on looks and after one round carrying it the bag is back in the basement. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app My hoofer 2 is also super durable. I have had it for 10 years and, while the legs don't snap back quite a crisply as they once did, it still looks great. The new hoofers might be made of nylon while mine is made of a heavy duty fabric. On the club binding issue I do recall when I first got the bag there was a bit of an issue. The secret was having only 3 clubs in each top slot and then putting the remainder in the wide-mouth bottom slot. Haven't noticed binding since. Eseay32
I've always used the ping hoofer. Middle, high, and college golf I carried the ping. I love the way it carries, enough pockets to be pretty dangerous and forget where you put stuff! New ones have a firm plastic divider with a hand gap so that you can easily pickup and sit the bag down. On my phone so not sure if I can post a pic but love it
Knoxville, TN 8 Hdcp PXG 0811 10.59deg loft Ping G25 3 wood Titleist 2i rescue Ping I irons +1 upright Vokey Sm5 52, 56, OdysseyRed 2Ball Fang with 1.0 super stroke
