TWShoot67
I am going to go with the Epon Tour F4. Love the irons and they are unique enough that if someone takes your ball there will be no denying it. I have been a huge fan of the entire penta series and a red ldp player until they vanished from the earth. I have to add the RED LDP was one heck of a golf ball, very similar to the prov1x. But the original Penta is fantastic. i'm getting use to the newer version, but the original just seemed much softer to me. JonasVenture
If cost were no object probably some version of the Bridgestone 330 series. I'd like to go through a ball fitting but I haven't seen one in our area recently. I've been playing the original Penta for a long time now. I've tested a few others but keep going back to it. I only have two sleeves left and I can't find them online anymore so I have to make a change soon. I haven't tried the TP3 or TP5 yet, but they'll likely be in the hunt. Joezilla
Thanks for the opportunity to maybe, perhaps to be a tester of Penta golf balls. If price were no object, I would be playing Titleist Pro V 1. I've never before played Taylormade Penta golf balls. Thanks again, Joe
lmh3
I will just answer the questions since winter is speeding towards me. If I could play any ball that I want, I would stay with the Nike 20XI-S. I was on staff with Taylor Made for the Inner Gel balls through the TP Red LDP. The TP Red LDP were my favorite. I did both versions of the Penta and preferred the first version. TENBUCK
I would like to apply to test the Taylor Made ball. Since we have mild winters (most of the time)winter testing should be no problem. I also was a tester for the new ProV1 proto that was sent out recently. This also would give me more of an excuse to play golf......... nike7227
I live in FL, so perfect for being a tester. - If cost is not an issue, so far I seem to like the playability and feel of the Bridgestone B-330 RXS. It fits my swing speed (92-95) and seems durable. - Have you played previous TaylorMade Golf Balls (brief details please) - Yes, I have played the Original Penta and Rocketballz. I liked the feel of Penta but felt a lack of distance for me. Plus it marked up easily. Rocketballz felt okay, but gave them away. Been pleased with most Taylomade products I have owned though (currently Burner 2.0 Driver, Rocketballz Tour 3-wood, 2 Tour Hybrids and Monza putter). dru_
Being in GA, I play pretty much year round (though I have taken most of the last month off for the last few weeks of training before a marathon, which is now run). I have played the current Penta tp3 and Penta tp5 both. I found them to be remarkably similar in playing characteristics, despite the differing price points. However, todays choice for me is the Srixon Z-Star XV if money is not an obstacle. I love the balance of control versus distance. However price is an issue so I generally play Srixon Q-Star or Titleist NXT-S. toddgatchel
Favorite balls when price is no object, Taylormade penta 5 and the TP3, then Callaways premium balls (these glide through the wind) then Titleist pro V1x, love the proV1x but with one good swing of a wedge the ball is toast! I live in Florida so I can play all winter, I play roughly 8 rounds a month through the winter season. I will give a true review of this ball if I get lucky enough to be selected as a tester! TK3
1. If cost were no object, what golf ball would be in your bag right now 2. Have you played previous TaylorMade Golf Balls (brief details please) If price was no object - then the Titleist Pro V1X would be in my bag. Yes, I purchased 30DZ TM Penta golf balls last year as our Company golf balls for me & our Clients. I had mixed reviews - some enjoyed the performance / others liked the ProV1X better. I personally thought that the Penta was a good, all around ball, but lacked performance during windy conditions + lacked a little spin around the greens. Just finished testing a sleeve of golf balls for Titleist (similar promotion as this one) so I would be very interested in comparing the 2 head to head! DeeJaWay
If cost were not an issue I would probably play Pro Vs, which I do about 80% of the time. I have tried all of the TaylorMade balls, and do like the Penta. I will play any 'good' ball however, including Bridgestone B330s (all flavors) and the e6, and the premium balls from Calloway, Nike, Sixron and Wilson. revkev
Okay here's my application - I would remind that I live in Florida and play year round and that I particularly enjoy testing equipment in the winter and spring months. If cost were no object: I would play the Penta TP 5 which was what my TMag fitter recommended for my game. Have I played TMag balls in the past: Yes, I played the LPD Red for a season and a half. I liked the ball very much. Since price is an object for me I didn't switchover to the original Penta when it came out instead switching to the Nike One Tour D that was at a better price point.
