xxio
I hope those are true blades (8802/ironmaster styles) and not the Anser/Newport/BB1-8s that people started calling "blades" about 4-5 years ago. That'd be like testing blade irons, balata golf balls, and metal spiked etonic shoes. Lighten up Francis and get off that soapbox.

I have no problem if they want to test Anser/Newports, etc just don't call them blades. Well of course TM calls their irons RocketBladez so I guess we can call anything we want. Yes I am on a soapbox because this is exactly how golf history gets forgotten. Nothing wrong with calling the Anser something other than a blade. Plumber's necks and cavities do not make blades. It will be putters that fit the current definition of blade, and I had to clarify this with some companies. I do get what you are saying about the history though. "Blade" is where it's at right now. Maybe we do a 8802 test down the road... whiskey golf
It's funny how there's not a ton of 8802 style putters. The main ones I've seen are from Wilson or are really expensive from pricier putter companies such as TP Mills, Never Compromise, Byron Morgan, etc. Although I think the Odyssey Pro Black version was a nice take on it. Mr_Theoo
Ok, I realize that I'm probably gonna bring the wrath of Apprenti down upon me like rain, though to not acknowledge a "true" blade is burying history, and that is the first step towards a doomed society. So in my feeble attempt to save us from ourselves and to enlighten those youngsters amongst us who's first "blade" was indeed an Anser style putter, this is a blade, pure and simple. So please, take a minute out of your busy days and give thanks for the Acushnet Bulls Eye, the Wilson Augusta and all of the other nameless, faceless blades that we came with, we competed with and we conquered, both foe & course alike with. Mr_Theoo
HaHa, LMAO, cuz that's exactly where I got this Augusta I took a girl to screw around at this little putt-putt place, and most had no markings or name though this said Augusta. I used to have an Augusta in the 80-90s and I gave it away. So I offered the kid $10, his eyes lit up, and it was mine. I'll end up givin it away, lol Fairways & Greens 4ever Lol still a 10$ putter is a steal regardless lol Driver: Epic 10.5 set to 9.5 w/ Tour AD-DI 44.5 FW: F6 baffler set at 16º Hybrid: NONEIrons: 3i 2014 TP CB 4-PW 2011 TP MC w/ TT S400 Wedges: 52º 56º 60 º w/ KBS C-Taper XS Soft-stepped Putter: Sigma G Tyne 34 inches Gold dot
