Fireinthehole
Yes a real original topic title. Just like to introduce myself. Name's Eron. this marks my first year playing golf. Let's say it seems longer than that. A round of 9 has gone from 3-4hrs the first time to 1:20-1:40hrs depending on course traffic. I joined because of the ability of the reviews/ blogs on this site to cut through the marketing BS. Tried to figure out where to post this question. Might as well kill to birds with one stone: In honor of working down to a 14 handicap and it being my one year anniversary, i purchased a set of mizuno mp 52 w/S300's from someone I know FOR CHEAP- they were almost brand new, still had the "Display" written on the grips (obviously the display set). I digress. I have tried every major iron company before settling on a set of Bridgestone J33's with S300's- my god... i love those things ;_; in any case. These mizuno's seem to be fighting me. I am aware that the lie is angle is about 1.5 degrees flat compared to the Bridgestone's- shaft lengths ands lofts are the same which was awesome!. Just wondering if I should get them bent 1.5* upright already? What a mouth full. MmmmmmBuddy
Welcome to the boards!!! I also live in Oregon. There are not too many of us on here, so it is good to have another!! As far as bending your MP's, I would have the fit checked before I started bending them, but absolutely would. Depending on what part of the state you live in, I would be happy to assist!! Good luck. Kenny B
Welcome Eron! I grew up in Corvallis; go Beavs! I now live about 30 miles from Oregon on the eastern side of the mountains; much, much drier over here! I also concur on getting them fit. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
